Mozilla Delivers Firefox 18.0 Beta

Mozilla has now made available a fresh beta build of the Firefox desktop browser. This latest release (version 18.0) brings improved tab switching performance, a new HTML scaling algorithm (for better image quality), support for Apple Retina Displays (on OS X 10.7+), for WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication), and for W3C touch events, plus tweaks and a few fixes.

The Firefox 18.0 Beta(1) is available here for Windows, Mac OS and Linux.

Good morning Firefox

As proof i got up way too early (by my tastes), I'll be the first to post that 18.0 sounds so adult like...

You're almost catching up to Chrome, but you have to release them even faster, cause damn buggers at Google are moving pretty fast themselves ! You can do it, Mozilla, we have faith in you !

The release cycle for mozilla apps is now fixed to 6 weeks and all 3 channels (+Nightly which is updated daily but goes with the rest) go in parallel.

Firefox 17, Beta 18, Aurora 19, Nightly 20, six weeks later it will be Firefox 18, Beta 19, Aurora 20, Nightly 21. Another 6 weeks later it will be Firefox 19, Beta 20, Aurora 21, Nightly 22 etc etc Releases may get delayed past 6 weeks sometimes if there are any unpredictable problems during dev cycle.

Still buggy like hell. Also the close crap is still there. Still doesn't shut properly after you close it. You have to close it from task manager or wait a couple of mins...Really annoying!!

I doubt if anyone cares. OS X users prefer Safari anyway.
