Chieftec Announces CM-25B-OP Case from the Classic Series

CHIEFTEC, a world-wide renowned brand for reliable PC chassis and power supplies, today announces the CM-25B-OP as a new model in the Classic Series, which has proven to be a success in the system integration market since its launch in 2019. The CM-25B-OP is based on the chassis of the BM-25B-OP, while adding an additional 5.25" ODD drive and a refreshed front panel design. Built from 0.7 mm SECC and including tool-less drive installation kits, the Classic Series is perfect for system builders who value true quality and timelessly elegant design.

The only way I've used cases like this Cheiftec (never had one, but was using Antec cases of the same late-'90s design) was to take a 100mm circular drill saw and bore a big frickin' hole in the front and then do the same thing for the rear-exhaust "grille" so that, despite being unfiltered, at least cold air could get in and hot air could get out. My Radeon 9700Pro and Athlon 1GHz needed their fresh air, damnit!

I saw that box and didn't think "Chieftec"...I thought "Cooler Master", for real, even with the PSU on top and the cut-out for the locker! But the model name does start with "CM-"...
But being Chieftec, the SECC should be 1mm thick, so even the weight of that box would match the year 2004
