I like it better than RivaTuner honestly. More simple. Less clicks.

it checks the vendor ID on the card which is how GPU-Z gets the brand of card, if brand <> eVGA then it wont work, on nvidia cards this can be changed by flashing the card with NBitTor and nvflash.

Not true, currently there is no subvendor ID checking and it will start and work on any NVIDIA display adapter.

I like this program, very simple and effective. To start, I used it to set my EVGA 8800GTX's fan to 100% as many of you know the Auto setting keeps this at 60%.

Idling my temps went from 72C down to 57C just by upping the fan speed. Plus minimal noise was added!

Now I will try my hand at overclocking but I doubt I will get anywhere unless I get some aftermarket cooling on this beast. By the way this is the original 8800GTX with original EVGA bios. I saw they (EVGA) came out with 10 iterations of BIOS updates and wondered if anyone knew what they fixed, if anything.

Yes, it was initially designed to work with NVIDIA hardware only.

It works on my XFX card perfectly. Its not just an EVGA card ocing tool, but nVIDIA as a whole. ATI will NOT work.
