looks like the GTO line is pushing out all other skus in the PCI express lineup, they pretty much have all the bases covered from low end 128mb DDR1 Powercolor card to the moddable GTO2 by Sapphire, with prices all hanging around and below 200 bucks. Since they all have 12 pipes or more, they can rebadge older pros, XLs, XTs, or whatever as a GTO in the case of 16p cards by disabling a pipe quad(here's even more opportunity for modders). Plus most of these cards have hardly any inbox games or softwares so this helps to get rid of all the old stock lying by keeping the price low and put it in a fresh new box. I think its good, I am just glad i got in the GTO market early as most likely any new GTOs with 16p will be old XL's (the r430 is decent enough but I am immensely happy with my r423). I also would think that ATI will probably make AIBs make their higher end r480, and r423 core cards better locked against modding. I noticed some new GTO2s at newegg with dual DVI and VIVO but no word yet if these cards will mod or what cores they use www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ubmit=Property :pimp:
