Acer Ships 22-inch DisplayLink Enabled P224W LCD Monitor
DisplayLink Corp. and Acer have collaborated to introduce the 22-inch DisplayLink enabled Acer P224 monitor. What this means is that you can add Acer P224 as an external monitor to any USB-equipped desktop PC or laptop, using only a single USB 2.0 port without the need to install discrete graphics cards.
"Acer's integrated monitor-and-dock design is a smart solution for laptop owners who want a cool, all-in-one upgrade," said Dennis Crespo, executive vice president of marketing and business development for DisplayLink. "And DisplayLink technology ensures that video and graphics applications will play smoothly on any additional monitors linked up to the PC via USB."
The Acer P224W widescreen display features a contrast ratio of up to 10,000:1, a resolution of 1680x1050 pixels, and a response time of 5 milliseconds. The Acer P224W is also equipped with an analog VGA input. The Acer P224W is currently shipping in the United States and Europe. More information can be found on the Acer's website here.
