I plan on buying the very best cooler for my Q6600 GO.

Anyone got any good sugestions??

Thermalright is indeed the best.. But to me its overpriced.. S1283 wont have you dissapointed

Good Luck getting your Q6600 to 4GHz its gonna be tough..unless you know for sure its hit 4Ghz before.
Anyways...I'd go for either a CoolerMaster V8 or a Noctua NH-U12P

Noctua NH-U12P is what i have used and my recommendation.

beeeeffffffyyy cooler, and with2 fans has exceptional cooling power and can be very very silent.

That CoolerMaster isn't that good apparently. Doesn't push much air.

The only gripe I have with the xigmatek, is the fan that comes with it... it's too quiet. I put a more powerful one on it, from the front of my hard drive cage, and put the xigmatek fan on the hard drive... cools better with a beefy fan. And that loud ass fan is out of the front of my case, so it's a little quieter.

no my current limitation stems from a G33 mobo and a crappy thermaltake orb cooler - really not that good for an oc quad.

the noctua unlocked 3.6ghz @ around 60 max load, and this is a warm country

that 3ghz in my sig (is outdated

) is doable on stock volts and low temps, 45-50 max load.

Is it worth spending money just to get an extra 400-600Mhz???

Would I need watercooling if I want to reach 4.0Ghz?? But how much would I be spending on that tho!! and is it hard to set up??

Hi Irish.

I would take the Thermalright one.
For a nice water setup it will set you back about €150 to €200. CPU only.
And a cheap water setup won't be much better as a top of the line air cooler.

It all appears good! Nice watercooling setup.

I guess for that kind of money it's not worth it to me!!

I will stick with an air cooler for the time being.

All I want is the very best CPU cooler and I don't care how much it will cost me! I want the BEST that will get me a higher overclock and stable temps.!

go for the HDT-S1283 with the crossbow bracket. Jobs a good 'un.

You MAY hit 4Ghz, but its unlikely. I can, and possibly go further, but for voltage / cooling reasons I darent 24/7 on it. 3.2 @ 1.32 or 3.6 @ 1.38 is fast enough for me
