Yeah, I could grab that one, or the 750i... But Cooling isn't a issue for me.. right now I have both in sli and the temps are 44c, 39c on idle, never hitting above 65c on both... So, I'm set for the time being..

I'm idling at 64C Still no 2d clocks with 2 displays and can't be bothered to disable/enable tv all the time.

Poor card, have to be toasty all the time just because of such a small thing, it can't be that hard to fix. Hit some Cryostasis and then we are talking 85C temps and quite a bit of noise

or a Gigabyte P45 Extreme DDR2 or DDR3 board and get a LOT more outta the CPU

I actually just picked this board up. Got a great deal on it as well...was waiting for something like this to replace my aging P35. Should have no problems getting my Q9650 to 9x500Fsb. Also picked up a pair of Velociraptors 300Gb for Raid 0. Not that HD performance will increase my score much, but Im pretty sure an extra 300+mhz will.

They should actually do more than 500 fsb, mine will actually do about 508 with a quad, I know someone on XS who has gotten 525 FSB on the DDR2 Extreme with a Q9650

Thats what I was reading, and I did a lot of research into this board before purchasing. In Fact this is the First NON-DFI board I have purchased in over 6 years. I'm being a little conservative and hoping for 500 FSB. Most the reviews I have read have had this above 525 using the water cooling on the NB, which I will be using. So looking forward to it for sure. I would have gone with a DFI board, but for $160.00 usd, I couldn't pass this board up.

I am sure you wont be dissapointed, I am actually considering buying the DDR3 version for a mini upgrade, as I have DDR3 already i cant see any point going back to DDR2. Whats the vid on your chip?

Awww.. Poor card!!! Yep! I haven't had it that bad...

The one shown in real/coretemps, it should either be 1.225v or 1.250v most probably.

100% fan speed? I'm auto with 40% fan speed. Just tested, hit 44C with 100% fan with 2d clocks (and that's with stock paste). But I sleep next to my computer, that noise even from single card is not something I'd enjoy

I have to try the VGA adapter thing sometime in the future, I do like 'em 2d clocks. Might even hit a second passive card in the other slot and use it for other display, if that's what it takes. Still in the freezing point outside, so the extra heat doesn't matter at the moment.

Have to pet my card and tell her to be patient, you'll soon get something on top of you to keep all that hotness cool

I've all ways used 100% speed.. But, at 70% you really don't hear it.. I know your feeling on sleeping by the computer... I do the same!

You must have something noisy going on in the case, 70% is horrible 50% is still ok, 40% drowns with other fans.

But yeah, my NB is passive, my PSU is silent, CPU cooler fan spins at 858rpm, one case fan 668rpm (I have no idea why, it's on full 12v) and the other two ~1000rpm.

My custom Water loop. No fan is below 37dbs. Only one fan is below 110cfm. That's my NB fan at 40cfm.. lol...

Man, you haven't heard anything unless it's delta fans! Had two and they where over 55dbs...

Wow I've watched fits youtube video of one insane fan but haven't heard a delta irl. I would thing that the stock cooler isn't at all bad then. The noise it makes is mostly just humm and I think 110cfm is more than a humm, maybe a whooooosh

Well, the 110cfm fans are rated at 37dbs.. I don't have any thing above 37dbs unless you count my fans on the GPU.. But that's not bad because it about the same...

I'm really eager to grab one, probably won't have a new 24/7 OC for a bit after I get it, but I'd like to see how much I can get with that cooler. Now if Newegg can just pull through for me and have one ohhh..say...tomorrow! lol. Patience is a virtue, only had this card since July lol. Good thing the stock cooler is pretty decent overall.

I've had this about 6 weeks and already running out of patience But that more about press release coming so long before product release. It's good that you don't buy something in the meanwhile and then regret but they should also keep their release schedule.

Well still 13 days of this month to go, maybe it pops out somewhere. If not then 26 days it is from quietpc. Might just be so heavy that airmail goes expensive:

Happy joyjoy here too, Accelero GTX 280 came and boy she's a monster =)

Have to try and remember to take pictures while installing. And btw, those blue things you see are just protective films on the VRM heatsink and the back memory plate. Wonder if it really likes 100C temps, as they left it on on the reviews, but can't help on the cooling at least.
