That's a PIII board, CF didn't exist back then, so I doubt any provisions for that would be in place. I am talking about a real AGP CF board, not just a board with two AGP slots. I've just never heard of any...

There are a number of high-resolution workstation TFT's that take TWO or FOUR monitor inputs. It takes multiple DVI outputs to drive them.

This is "essentially" the same "concept" as Crossfire. Rather than one dual-link driving a 2560x1600 display, using crossfire to assist, the old method was to have 4 DVI outs, each driving a "virtual display" of 1280x800.

This was the approach 5-8 years ago to drive those mega IBM screens.

That's pretty awesome, especially considering that a lot of older AGP systems would make great HTPC's, except for flat out 1080p content due to CPU limitations.

Where ? There's no HD4770 for AGP. The PowerColor on Amazon.com was a mistake on Amazon's part.

cpulimitations

as far as htpc goes and cpu limitations i dont think that would be much of an issue at all with 1080p if you have one of the rare 939 boards that has an agp slot on it now these boards also have a pci-e slot so i dont know why you would not run a pci-e card in it unless you were a agp fan boy
and if im not mistaken wasn't there one turion x2 that was the 754 before they switched the mobile socket to s1 and even 478 has mobile dual core chips if you can find one good luck i cant even find a fx-60 for my 939 rig to go with my old fx-62 am2 rig to compare them Btw i love my new core i7 woot

That's true, if it were a 939 board. That ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 board was awesome and had both AGP and PCI-E.

What exactly is an "AGP" system? What CPU limitations? I have AGP and am using an E4300 which can playback 1080p flawlessly.

AGP system is obviously a system built on a motherboard that has an AGP slot for GPU. As for an E4300, I didn't realize there were AGP motherboards based on Intel that could run Core2 CPUs, so I stand corrected there. Back when I used AGP I was strictly AMD because P4 sucked.

Things I would've done:
1. 512mb of GDDR5(or 3 if it's a core/bus limitation)
2. 4770, 4830 or 4850
