Just ordered one, they still have some it seems, came to just over $48 bucks with UPS Ground. I figure atm, with 70% fan speed I'm hitting 62C at my current OC, I can expect a bit better with less sound. Might have to grab another one of these for the g/f's rig if I'm impressed with it. I'm really curious how the VRM cooling will work with my card...atm I average about +/- 1-2C around the GPU temps...not horrible, I just hope it doesn't get much worse or I may cut the stock cooler! Looking forward to finally getting this cooler and at below msrp! Sweet!

What kinda card do you have?
In any case, purchase the Scythe SCVCH-1000 and you can mod the NVIO heatsink (you need the two pins of the GF9800 HSI heatsink), and instead of using a stupid heat-pad you can use thermal paste
Also you can use the extra parts to cover all the VRM stuff!
When OC-ing try Nibitor to play with the fanspeed IC's

Nice, you'll enjoy it Please post some VRM temp comparisons with your card. I think you'll get much better results than I with the Accelero VRM sink.

Oh it's available now, cool. Fans and fins are the same, pipes go a bit differently and there is more + it seems to have proper sinks to the card.

I'd like to see some pictures of it too. Please post some here when you get it, or a link if you put them someplace else

I will do so, since I got a new digital camera and I am taking pics like crazy so I will document my build here when I get it next week. I only paid 50 USD for it including shipping, I could not pass it up even if the new card come out in 4 months or longer it looks nice and hope it performs as well.

Cooler does, ramsinks not so much, as you need a bit of extra of them. Earlier post by TuxBrothers in this thread gives you and idea:

Basically you need 2 more ramsinks and the NVIO sink doesn't cover 2 of the 4 ram chips on the left that well. VRM area needs some extra sinks too if you want, but since stock cooler cools them with air only, Accelero would do it fine too.

There is more than only not covering the 2 VRAM's.... the angle of the heatsink is not very well also, cause the NVIO chip is much,much higher then the VRAM section.
So the heatsink is not covering well the NVIO chip cause its in a false position.

Im only saying this now to avoid you from doing the mod twice like i did
I tried to purchase the NVIO heatsink only from the Thermalright HR-03 GTX but its only available in the whole package

GTX260 65nm's both cards, one is a 192 mine is a 216. I plan on using what comes with it or if need-be cutting up the stock cooler to make due...though I may not just to keep my warranty intact. Either way I'm not too worried yet! We'll see what changes when I get the cooler tho!

But if you are really looking for a better NVIO heatsink, I have an idea for you. Was about to use one my self (had it on old motherboard southbridge), but supplied one worked fine for me. Zalman NB heatsink ZM-NB32K:

It'll need to get a trim on top not to be too high, but other than that would work.

Correct !! But on my Gigabyte there was a huge difference while using these pads
I had to use 2 pads or ,or more to level them, and i really hate heat pads they do not absorb all the heat

LOL had the same idea, i ripped of some old north and southbridge coolers myself but all didnt fit.... even tried the cooler from a old Intel 740 Intel PCI card

So as I said early I ordered the accelero, I take it I am going to have to buy the Scythe SCVCH-1000 heatsinks. By the way I own an EVGA gtx 285. Those sinks would do, you won't need that many. But you can always use them instead of the supplied sinks, as the Accelero ram sinks don't have that great thermal paste, like TuxBrothers did. And that kit has a good price compared to what you get.

There are couple fins that touch the svideo-out port a bit. No need to cut a slight bend will do fine on them. The first 2-3 on left of the image

one question on the VRM does it run hotter on the 280 than on the 285 and if so is that why your saying air cooling would be fine, where as you added heat sinks to yours because it was a 280 correct? Also as luck would have it I have a pack of enzotech mos c1 chips they are 12mm high how much should I trim off?

The maximum height you can get away with is 11.5 mm so I would trim 1mm to ensure a snug fit without bending / putting pressure on the PCB

Also the fan profile in the bios is totally useless for the new cooler so get Nibitor and customise yourself a bios to ramp up the fan speed from about 45% @ 44 degrees celcius on the GPU to 100 % fan when it hits 58 or 59 degrees, the AC cooler is not annoying @ 100% fan and this modification in conjunction with the Enzotech heatsinks you propose to use conspire to keep those pesky VRM's cool a treat

okay now I can confirm they are optional on the 55nm gtx cards both ram and vrm cooler but I'm not sure I believe that.
