not to mention the fact you could do this with any soundcard using a line in port (for stereo, a mic port would give mono recording)

Not really, newer sound cards can also do stereo Mic.

so if i wanted to record something on to my computer like say a game sound i can plug this into my mobo jack then plug the other end to the usb then i can record it? if so then i want this to bad its $35
