@anatolymik:
I will test the new version of SliStrinInstaller in a few hours and report back if the Supermicro Cert is working. ;)

-----

Update:
OK, I will test ver1.02 instead of 1.0. ;)

Tested HALmod 0.9 with SLI string install (Old one) with fresh Windows 7 64b RTM, worked without any issue, with forcewares 182.50, 190.62, 191.07 WHQL.

Will update article today.

@Anatolymik:

Ver1.02 crashes right after clicking on the exe:

Ver1.0 runs without error message and also confirms that the SLIC insertion was successful. Nevertheless I can not find the SLIC in the dsl file! Attached is the temp0 folder as ZIP.

To sum it up: Ver1.02 has an error so that I cannot start it, Ver1.0 "works" but does not insert anything.

During my tests I used the "Supermicro" button.

------------------

update:
Added dat and dsl files AFTER "successful" SLIC insertion with SLICstringinstaller 1.0.
As you can see there is no SLIC string.

iasl -g

----

edit:
If it would have been inserted correctly SLI would have been enabled.

(All I need to enable SLI is the correct SLIC)

I answered guide for you at xDevs forums :)
SLIC certificate is for ANY supermicro board, not model dependent.

Supermicro X8DAH+.

The MOD should work with the X8DTH-6f as well but I have to admit that my system is pretty unstable if I really enable SLI.

I also have to mention that I do not use Win7 x64 and that I have two Quadro FX 4800 installed. I am still waiting for my Win7 x64 license to do some additinal testing.

It works! Tested on Windows Server 2008 r2 (german) with Supermicro X8DAH+.

SLI is enabled right after installing the SLIC. No modded drivers, no modded HAL. :toast:

I'd like to use the HAL-Mod if this would mean that I would get a stable SLI System!
Right now it's a little bit funny with Server 2008 R2: It's stable as long as I don't activiate SLI in the NVidia Control panel. I can see the option, I can even activiate it, but as soon as a start any Direct3D or OpenGL application the system freezes. It's a complete lock-up that has to be terminated by a hard-off or a hard-reset (reset-button).
This might be caused by the OS which I would like to test with Windows 7... once again: I am still waiting for the license.
