@Mosfet & cxj

I'm assisting PPmguire and from what I've taken it all he needs to do is run SLIstringinstaller 1.1 then HALmod 0.9, then finally reboot. Am I correct?

OK the command prompt blinked for a second then quickly exited for him. Is that normal activity for HALmod installer?

Checking now, will have him post or edit mine.

edit:

BIOS NOT FULLY ACPI COMPLIANT 0X00... A5

It's SliStringInstaller. To be more exact it Sli String. Enter the BIOS and set ACPI 2.0 Enabled. After try to boot system. If something goes wrong you should to reinstall the system with ACPI 2.0 Enabled.

Ok, I have him rebooting and setting ACPI 2.0 as we speak before he continues trying it again.

EDIT:

Nope same BSOD with ACPI 2.0 enabled.

Should I have him install the ACPI update utility from Windows update?

you're right my friend, follow the steps I went.

install the driver 190.62 (win7 x64)
Disable UAC
restart
run SLIstringinstaller 1.1
run HALmod running 0.9
restart
SLI now :D

Greetings

you can try to add the file ""nvlddmkm.sys"" into the folder system32, download the nvlddmkm-64bit_rev_2.

the steps would be

clean install
install the driver 190.62 (win7 x64)
Disable UAC
restart
run SLIstringinstaller 1.1
run HALmod running 0.9
copy the file ""nvlddmkm.sys"" into the system32 folder (copy & remplace)
use the application ""dseo13b"" select sing a file-> C:\Windows\System32\drivers\nvlddmkm.sys. press next, wait to be done
restart
SLI must work

luck

when you use Halmod it's USELESS to use Modded drivers.

which version HALMod it was?
you got BSOD because of HALMod, but when you use Modded drivers you make HALMod useless

use the latest version of HALmod

 is the only way which work with the 780, probably because the 780 is at 8x and 4x PCI-Ex

with the 790 did not use the modified driver
