Ill go with LG i think...more contrast for 200$ more ...but at that resolution ill go with an over 40 inches screen and use my computer as an HTPC also to play games...would be awesome to play games like call of duty or batlefield series on that high resolution screen.

Otr this is the total shit that i want :p http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4179158&CatId=3774

Your onboard card will have trouble at anything higher than 1280 x 1024 never mind 2560 x 1600

if its just windows use, onboard can handle it fine. he never mentioned gaming.

the maximum resolution he mentioned is just the max res of dual link DVI anyway, that limitation has been around for some time (and thusly, that resolution as a 'maximum' of cards has as well. since around the Geforce 3 era, i believe)

Windows use yeah but he mentioned call of duty and battlefield 2. I've got a 3450 that struggles to run call of duty at 800x600 on all low :(

really? shit.

i've got a cold or something, my brain is failing.

BF2 is old, it wont be high demand. it doesnt even support widescreen :p

CoD i'm not sure on, i know CoD4 runs pretty smooth on low end GPU's at minimal settigns. havent tried with WaW or MW2 yet.

I thought I was the one having brain failure. Well the new 1.51 patch creates support for widescreen and Cod4 runs like crap for me on my 3450.

Whoa. Playing Shift on the 3 of those screens is specatacular!! :respect:

So if one of those screens is 43".. That means that person is playing on a total 129"

Yep 129". ;)

But then again too bad.. the 3 monitors would cost $19,500. LOL

It does support widescreen even on patch 1.41. I have a LG 22 inches 16:9 and it works well.
For the resolutino of the card the 2650X1600 is the max resolution on the motherboard is done on the DVI-D dual link. 256megs onboard video card ATI Radeon 3100 based on RV-610 chipset.
I'm currently topping at 1680X1050 because of the LG monitor I have and i can ensure you that even at that resolution on widescreen 16:9 i can play flawlessly movies, games and even battlefield 2
I got 4 gigs of memory but with windows 7 im topped to 3.25 gigs ...anyway it leave me plenty of memory for boosting up the onboard video card.

no, it doesnt do widescreen. if you research into it, you'll notice all its doing is giving you 4:3 with the top and bottom cut off. youre getting less of a picture than non widescreen users.

id like to have a monitor like that.. but i would wish it to be "taller" that screen just doesnt look right with it being so narrow.

Actually it does do widescreen, he said as of patch 1.41, but thats false, as of patch 1.50 BF2 officially supports widescreen.

He means it's cheated widescreen. Instead of increasing your horizontal fov, like widescreen is supposed to, it decreases your vertical fov. Personally, I know nothing about it, so I can neither confirm or deny, but that's what he is on about, anyway.

Yeah I know what he meant, but as of 1.50 it's true widescreen. Before that it was fake and I couldnt stand cutting off parts of the screen.

Anyways, the only thing I like about these is that the monitors are seamless. I know it's a small thing, but the seems just kill the mood for me.
