Dell UltraSharp U2410 vs HP LP2475w. Which one?

Hello there,
want to buy new 24" monitor and found this two models,
can you advice which one will be better?

Dell UltraSharp U2410
HP LP2475w

For Photoshop/Movies/Gaming.

The Dell is an H-IPS monitor also. Both companies have been putting out some sweet monitors and I can't say that I've had any problems with either.

I would go with the best deal.

I am biased though, I had some problems with dell, monitor or pcs xD

But price is a factor so what are they priced at?

and I know many people want the best but sometimes it isn't worth the money for them... What is your expertise in monitors? Do you really need such a high quality monitor? Perhaps a simple 200$ (well maybe not where you live) TN monitor would suffice?

maybe a 2048x1152 21.5" may be better also. such a high resolution on a smaller screen looks amazingly good.. seriously, i was amazed by how crisp and sharp and how good things look on theses monitors

I Prefer DELL.

because it's cheaper than HP, but have SAME QUALITY with HP.

In our shops Dell cost from 680 USD and HP from 625 USD.
So price for Dell is little bit higher here.

My firsth thought was Benq G2420HD, but i want to work comfortable with photos and design mockups, so i think that i should by ISP display for my rig.

Tn film panel. Not good enough for those that want proper color accuracy and image quality. Sharp =/= accurate.

I'm also interested in everyone's opinion on this, I will likely be ordering one of these in the coming weeks.

I had the same choice to make a while ago and opted for the Dell, simply because of the connection options. If that isn't important for you, I'd pick whatever is cheaper. You might also want to check out TFTcentral, since they have in depth reviews on both monitors.

They are really neck and neck on tftcentral. Dell had some issues with the first revision of the U2410, so I'm not sure which to grab, personally. I'm leaning towards the dell because of the connectivity, like you said.

Pink tint was fixed in the new revision, plus you get it replaced for free if yours happens to get it. Dithering is/will be fixed in firmware (which the new revision already has), which actually has been leaked.

I have been keeping up with this battle. lol.

Yes but many people plunge into IPS without really needing it... some people don't even see a difference or very little, so it is not worth the price premium. IMHO, you should check out how stuff looks on an IPS panel and on a TN panel and see if it makes a worthwhile difference if you haven't already...
