(waits for nvidia to shoot down that rumor)

cause if they dropped it down to 256bit i would be . . . . . . . i don know.

Its on their facebook page, here

3.5 hours still hoping this isn't some dumb markeiting thing that has nothing to do with fermi. That would be a kick in the crotch

That would be "putting butter-heavily-sugar" on your nuts, and stand in front of the ant holes".

those sabrepc prices are wrong i guess
did u read this--- Review :My Wife Left Me
Pros: Packaging was pretty nice. Came with a free copy of Metro 2033 and Bioshock 2.

Cons: I came home 2 days after installing into my computer, and found my wife packing her bags, saying she was moving out and taking the GTX480 with her. She said it pleases her in more ways than I would ever know. She packed her bags and took the kids.

Other Thoughts: The house is empty.

still i hope the price for gtx 470 is 299$ (as mentioned in tweaktown)

Where did that come from?
If it means the cards have been shipped to reviewers, it's good news.

The sabrepc links scream "fake cheap propaganda for the site", like most pre-order listings have always been.

1 & 2GB configuration?

Ok, the statement on Facebook was a link here.

Special "Must See" Presentation
Main Theater (Friday 3/26 from 6 PM to 7 PM only)
- Come see NVIDIA unveil the next generation of PC gaming. Want to see what’s hot and what’s next? If
you’re even vaguely a fan of PC games and miss this special event, you’ll likely be spending the next
few months kicking yourself. Line up early as seating is limited. ‘Nuff said.

Lame...

I was thinking benches, or videos, or SOMETHING. "Must-see event my @ss"

The comments on facebook are pretty funny though.

... damn, and actually I had my hopes up that they were going to actually release a statement about their new gpu today...

wait... it's nVidia, just pulling our leg again.

Nvidia is turning into a joke. This is a joke, they might as well just say "We are going to show Fermi tomorrow", then just give the finger to the Nvidiots in the crowd. They'll love it either way. Their card must be rubbish as they are afraid to show it.

Agreed -

I can't believe how much they are stalling in releasing a product. AMD has been cleaning house with their 5 series parts, and nVidia has done NOTHING.

"The wait is almost over! The world's fastest PC graphics gaming technology" well if it does not have more performance then HD5970 then im flaging nvidia as "trolling corporation of 2010":slap:

LOL you mean to tell me they have announced that a month from now for 1 hour you can come see the unveiling of the "fastest gpu ever made"? wtf is that?

and
you may even
be able to buy one before anyone else

May? What? if they get a few finalized within 30 days?

Man.. wtf!

They must be terribly behind schedule or or are going to release something really bad ass for them to casually take their sweet time getting them sold while another company is constantly selling next-gen cards ALREADY. If the show is at the end of march then I wouldnt think that the official release would be less than 45-60 days after that so I'm guessing the PAX thing is just some method of buying more time.

I was hoping they where going to release ANYTHING AT ALL .

These ppl have given up on business or money - just about everyone has an ATI now, and I'm going to have to buy one too.

Like so many of my friends, my aging top end 8 series has finally died and there is simply NOTHING from team green to replace it with - I NEED a card now, I don't have time for their marketing bs... sorry guys you lose.

From living in an almost entirely nVidia community - I am now one of the last ppl to still have an nVidia card, everyone else I know now has an ATI because there simply is NOTHING coming out of NV's workshops :\ - DX11 games are here and NOBODY is going to buy their redundant obsolete DX10.1 stock sellouts that they keep pushing, if anyone is going to spend they want NEW tech.

Looks like I simply have NO CHOICE AT ALL .. If I want another GFX card it has to be an ATI :(.

It seems like their mentality is "5000 ati series" is old news.. "Wanna see what's hot and what's next?" nuff said? lol thats cocky for a company with no solid benchmark reports or solid info on their products.. just more waiting..

Bring your bathing suits and plenty of drinking water because its gonna be scorching in Boston with all these fermis in one room..

As if the "next generation" of Pc gaming isn't already here?

or is it?

I have no doubt the NV stuff will be spectacular... but why keep everyone in the dark? They could possibly keep more buyers if those buyers knew more about what to expect and could just be patient because they knew it'd be worth it.

Like bazookajoe up there.. he will buy ati bec. he knows shit about what will come from nv... if he did then he would probbaly wait, like many others. not a good strategy for a company vs a company with cards on the shelf.

They must be having huge yield and clock issues, 3/26, really? I will have completed every DX11 game by then, and played all my other games at higher settings and resolutions.

Nvidia, for those who love to wait, and wait, and wait, and wait some more.

:laugh:I did say we'd hear something this week, and that it would be for an end-of March launch...with retail end of April...

Of course, the post was deleted :o, but I don't understand why anyone would be shocked at this point. Yes, there are yield issues, and yes, targets were not met. Yes, this caused a delay, and yes, it hurt financially.

To expect them to not cooperate with an already existing event for the launch, in an effort to minimize costs, is to be expected. Personally, I was expecting CeBit or something, but this works too.

Can't weait to see tri-monitor S3D!!!

It's marketing tragedy. Nothing surprise, people have been doing this kind of things for years.

If they're able to sell the cards on March 26th @ the event, that might mean the card will actually be released on the end of March. Cards may reach reviewers on the same day.

NVIDIA want to release and sell their cards more than anyone else. It's just they can't, obviously GPU yield issues. At the end of the day, it's your choice to make the decision to buy or not.

God... they really failed... so bad. Its so obvious. Its like they're taunting us with their failure.

"we failed. OR DID WE!? Find out next month!"

We are officially waiting for failure.

So nVidia turned into a desperate attention whore.

"Big announcement tomorrow! We're gonna announce that we'll be announcing something by the end of March!"

Ok, the statement on Facebook was a link here.

LOL, here's nVidia admiting that the card won't be out for a few months.

they'll still end up getting some of my money either way im sure... it just makes no sense as to why they just cant release more info on their products. to me that sounds like they cannot even say yet because theyre not that far along to be making those kind of statements and we probably wont see a release for at least 3-4 months and by that time we should be hearing more on ATI's NEXT drop...

fucx! my 5870 is already old tech...
