used WRT300N or WRT600N

both can be flashed to DD-WRT and are very reliable routers.

i own one of each.

I was tempted on the Intel SSD, but I think I'm holding off until I can find an OCZ Vertex Turbo 30GB. If it were an M instead of a V, I probably would have bit.

That's kinda one that I was looking at. I usually use linksys, but I'm trying to branch out and Linksys just seems to charge a lot for a little. Walk into most walmarts etc. and you will still see Wifi G routers for $80

Not dual band, but completely smokes my Dad's WRT-600 in wireless performance, with or without DD-WRT on his router. One of the best N routers out there, plus it has a Gb switch for your wired computers.
