I have seen 5870's go for as low as $325 shipped on [H]. 5850 is good but why not 5870?

GTX 2xx series should be cheap but they just went up in cost used for some reason.

No particular reason. Not commiting to anything yet either. Just trying to get a good feel for the market. I am really indecisive about my next card purchase.

Fermi is really tempting, despite the power usage (as it's actually lower than my 4870X2 anyway. lol.). And heat isn't an issue with a dedicated loop on a 3x120mm MCR rad.

But, even tho the power usage of Fermi is better than my current card, the 5k series is just so damn good in that arena, despite a slight loss of performance.

I've even debated just waiting another round to see what both teams come up with in revisions.

Tough call for me right now.

and there's no urgency to switch to dx11. I'd wait and continue to do what you're doing, feeling the market and see how things flow

There are GTX 2xx cards that show up every once in a while too. They've been dumping them on there in the afternoon and they go quick, really quick.

This has been going on for about 2 months now. Sometimes it will happen twice a day.

AM2 motherboard and DDR2 RAM, that's not a 939 platform kit which makes the deal justs about average. $30 board, $30 CPU, $40 RAM. I had a hard time selling my X2 4600 for $30 and I believe t77snapshot is trying to sell the same ECS board for $40 with no luck so the RAM is the only redeeming part and even then I don't think it's worth a Bennie.
