SilverStone rolled out its newest power supply for small form factor (SFF) cases, the ST45SF SFX Form Factor PSU. This PSU in its limited form measuring 125 mm (W) × 63.5 mm(H) × 100 mm(D), can give out 450W of continuous power. It has a single +12V rail design, with a single 36A rail. It boasts of 80 Plus Bronze certification, it has an efficiency of 82% to 85%. You could totally build a sleeper 2000s era eMachines computer with this, if you are cheap and don't want to buy a small case.

The original SFX power supplies in those (like the 533MHz Celeron eMachines) only had 2 amps on the 12v rail.

Probably the best SFF power supply available, saddly it isn't modular.

Yeah, it's not a modular psu, but I can see it coming out real soon.. Silverstone likes to make "3" or more of everything.

That case is terrible, it's a rebranded APEX MI-100, has terrible cooling even for atom processors.

Pretty expensive too considering an SG05 is $20 more

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133093&Tpk=Element Q

$65 on newegg.

From a review:

Cons: Can get very hot. Try to place the hard drive in the front 3.5 bay so a 120mm fan can be placed on the side where the hard drive rails are. The fan snaps in place like it belongs which provides excellent cooling. I would recommend the Zalman Fan Mate 2 Controller (N82E16835118217) to help eliminate noise.

I like how the Element Q looks vs the APEX MI-100 :wtf:

I have a 120mm fan on the side, it's still pretty hot with only an atom!

It's a d945gclf board

Chip Temp: +42.0°C
CPU Temp: +63.0°C
Sys Temp: +52.0°C

It's pretty much idle as it's a file server but as you can see it's not good.

pic is with an 80mm fan that was replaced by a Cooler Master fan.
