Spray painting

I want to spray paint my laptops case however I'm not sure what type of paint to use. Is there anything like sanding or stuff I have to do before sraying the paint also.

ah and my case is plastic so sanding wont break it right and what grit?

id go about 800 grit just rough up the surface, grab some duplicolor paint some of the best stuff out and yeah u wanna prime it first with a gray or white primer

I would suggest doing a few coats of primer after the sanding. It goes with out saying but make sure you are either outside or in a well ventilated place and have a breathing mask on.

i have a question, i want to paint my case and i want to paint also the grommets used for for cables passing. like those :

so is no problem using the same paint spray on rubber also ?

be careful with taking it apart, make sure you remember where the screws go if you don't, when you put it back together you could have grounding issues(it will shock you) or damage the laptop, make sure you remember that.

I use fuzion metallic and it doesn't need sanding if the surface is matte paint already. If you are careful no sanding is needed on slick surfaces either if you carefully use the hand hammered type of the metallic Krylon fuzion.
