I just told him he should make sure all packages get returned by going to the PO and telling them that those packages were not for him, shouldnt be delivered, and should be sent back to the sender.

The only package he received was mine so far. As long as he gets to the PO early they should be able to make sure the packages don't go out to his home.

File a report with your local PD and have them contact his PD. I got scammed out of $110 over a year ago, and I haven't had time to file a report on it, but I still might later. It may be too late, but all you can do is try.

Yea i was scammed for a 4870x2 about 10 months back, the guy lives in canada.

This thread made me go all the way on getting my money back, hopefully i can still do it too.

Im looking for mostly computer hardware and such to build computers for a penitenary I volunteer for. My most needs are a monitor and a pair of speakers (any). I need a keyboard or 2.

Ipod touch, and maybe some nice watches.

What generation computer hardware? I have a whole bunch of processors, too old, more PIII and lower, but depends on what you need. I have some P4 CPU's, and a few P4 mobos and ram. They do ok.

Any working combo.. I was really hoping to run into some speakers.

Yes but that makes me wonder why you are willing to add it to the trade since that puts the value of your stuff over the top. But your heat is clean and large so. If you add the SSD I would ship tomorrow afternoon via UPS and hope that all my trades work.

I would like wait for my trade with Binge (for a 920 chip) to get here or at least for him to let me know it has shipped out. I think I would like to do this, I get a good card for gaming and the motherboard I was actually looking at (It will support 755 coolers.) And your getting a fully functional & overclockable matx rig.

I have the stock cooler for the e6700 still, but I don't think I have the mounting bracket. What are you thinking for cooling or do you not especially care/thinking aftermarket cooler?

I just looked over my rig, I have my current motherboard/cpu/ram/hsf/gpu. But I can trade my

3. Xigmatek AIO S80DP watercooling
4. 8Gb (2x2Gb G.Skill 800, 2x2gb value ram 667

+ 12gb of the ddr3 ram

The reason why I cant trade my 4870 is (last we talked) I am trading the 4870 and some ram for Cja123s 5850.

I don't want to trade my watercooling, but I think I threw away the normal retention bracket for the motherboard.

he wanted me to buy his 5770 for 115 so i said i had one pending possibly to buy for 110 and would he accept 105? and he said yes money order or western union. since his previous threads list paypal as a payment option i thought total scam and said why not paypal? he said something about not having his dad's account on paypal or something. i obviously am not going to send a money order or western union. the guy would not ship first either so i stayed away. i wish i had pm'ed a mod here cause i thought it was very fishy. i hope everyone involved gets their stuff back .

is anyone going to send a copy of this to the courthouse he is having court in? he obviously did not learn a thing by wanting to scam people for their stuff to resell and pay off his court fines.

If all of these allegations turn out to be true and he really is scamming everyone, I couldn't think of a better way to do it. He allegedly planned this ahead of time, and seemed to know what he was doing. If it weren't for this thread (or the one Mussels made yesterday), the links would have never been made and he would have gotten away with all of the hardware shipped to him. By getting all of the trades going on at the same time, using the same excuses over and over, and by only doing these trades through PM's he was able to slip by the rules of the BST forum and evade major suspicion. I'm sure people would have started reporting him in a few weeks when their goods never showed, but it would have been too late. At least we know he's too young to drive, so unless he's got a ride out of town he's going no where. This saddens me

the highlighted part is exactly why i made these threads without consulting the higher ups, and got in trouble for it. I do not want to dally about waiting for a consensus that might never come, while people get ripped off in the meantime.

To avoid making this thread 489 pages long with the same topic..maybe a sub-topic regarding this can be created and it'd be easier to track the progress of this case in there while leaving this thread for other such problems??

the thread is the trial to see if TPU needed it, and to see if people could be mature about it.

The fact that such a big scam happened right afterwards is a coincidence, but it may well be all the evidence we need for a subforum.

One bonus to this would be that users can be banned from the B/S/T forum but NOT banned from the dispute forum, allowing them to post and make amends.

Just in time, they said they will hold it for a day for me until my post office opens in 3 hours so I can turn in the recall application and they will fax it to there. A couple of guidelines to follow:

No personal attacks/comments/remarks. List trades that went bad, and methods that you've used to try and resolve it. If they dont come here and post to get it sorted out, then the bad mark on their name is their problem to deal with.

Traders who are reported as bad: Just be nice. Most of the time these things can be resolved peacfully, you're the one who's going to lose out if it doesn't get sorted.

Let's try to keep this thread while we can, please.

Just called his Post Office, and they told me that they delivered it on Saturday. I'll call my post office where I filed the recall at and try to confirm. Sounds like they're thinking about getting the Postal Inspector in on this one.

This also means that he lied about receiving my package.
