That wasn't the pick I was thinking of. The one I am referring to was more chaotic looking, not so organized. Thanks for making me drool though. Feel like disposing of some of those (to my mailbox)? LOL

You guys have to understand.

Benching all those GPU's sometimes is a pain in the ass, Im ganna take a little gander of a guess.

Wizz probably has to contact the company and sometimes maybe fight a bit in a sensible way to get those cards. Not even bringing up that at first you might be like
"yay i get to bench all these video cards"

then a little later
"shit got my cards to bench"

a little later
"i have other shit to do- pay bills, keep up on a actual life"

then almost the end
"I need to get this shit done"

after your done
"Got to put all my results lined up in a review"

after review is posted
"Im getting smashed talked for my review and possible disputes and bribes from the company's if its a bad review"

Then the next couple of days

YOU HAVE TO REVIEW ATI CARDS and a whole new series of shit,

I bet its fun

and after a while- your hand get sore- complications accure like bad samples or missing packages

Im just being realistic- your hands probably get a bit tired switching all those cards- and if the psu dies after a while, thats fun!
:toast:

*EDIT* Maybe in the future when tpu ramps up even higher-
I could offload some reviews of some products and post them up in tpu's home page- but it takes expirence

Ya i can only imagine what he has to go through to get all those reviews out, must take a lot of patience, organization etc. to get that stuff done.

But in the end at least w1zz has us to read the reviews and at least know that he has contributed something and informed us at the end of the day.:)

most companies let you keep them, thats IF they even answer your emails. I know from experience trying to get started reviewing is super hard. 8 out of 10 companies wouldnt even answer my emails. your best bet is to start reviewing every piece of hardware you can get your hands on otherwise they will never take you seriously

He is a w1zzard after all! Those things come out of his fingers like Sp3rm comes out of Ron Jeremy!

Now, that everyone really knows the jif of things, 3vc said in words what probably goes down.. See why I back this man up on his drivers.. There is to much to do in a review to keep it right.. Not like some sites that will just do a few and go at it.. W1zzards reviews means if it's a card that can run it, it'll run it.. No second guessing what it can do.. Drivers are a dime a dozen, but yet he continues to try and update whenever he can. Whenever he has two weeks or so to just do it..

We all got lives.. It's for him and the mods that I continue to stay. Great people here. :toast:

by now, i'm sure he has a fairly automated setup.

apart from installing the cards to a ghosted OS and new drivers, he's just gunna run TPU-Bench for most of the testing and scores.

I don' think there's many other reviewers out there that really keep hardware like W1zz does. Technically, there's like $4000 in that there cardboard box.

And while it's possible to script benching, you still gotta wait for the benches to complete.

I am pretty sure that it would be a full time job just to bench cards with every driver release each month. You couldn't do it with just one system... and if so, not my cup of tea, that's for sure.

oh yeah it certainly takes time - but at least its not time he has to spend sitting in front of that PC doing nothing but open and close benchmark programs.

My point was that after doing it for so long, he's efficient at it.
