There is a bigger difference (TFLOPS) between 6750 - 6770 than 5750 - 5770 had , same as the 5850- 5870 series , if 6850 and 6870 going to have the same increment , 6870 is going to have some serious power.
Speculations of ATI 6000 just being a cheap rebrand are clearly not in any ground anymore , it's a well used time and effort put into the existing technology and optimizing , updating and upgrading so they can make quite good product out of it. And if you don't recally , this is not the same core , it's a 40nm hybrid , it has a totally new part in the GPU , so it's a good GPU Ugrade too.
It shows you how nvidia always played dirty and .. masses never realized it thanks to marketing.
