How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

i was getting sick of the strange
problem i had when i play movies, every 10 a 15 min i get slow down in my
movies and series and even some times my player stops working, and 2 a 3
sec later it plays good again

I know this , i have it in F1 2010 too.
But i don´t know if it is a SliPatch problem or a f1 2010 problem , all my other games work without any problems

what is your nvidia driver? ( I had the tiny freeze in BFBC2 today, 260.63)

0.9 patch worked, partially.

I'm now able to boot in the SLI patched partition, but cannot enable 3-Way SLI. I can enable 2-Way for every PCI-E slot config (1-3 or 2-3).

Board: P5N32-SLI Premium (NF590, Intel SLI edition)

i was thinking of doing the same with my 2 470's adding another for my surround set up.

i got three 24" dells here, and i would really like to just have one card/monitor.

you might just have convinced me, on a side note whats your bencch scores? 3dmark etc.

I had the modded 258.96 b3 and since the new SLiPatch 260.63.
Problem exists with both of them.

For best SLI fps in F1 2010, look here ...the 260.63 SLI profile was so-so, I get 50% more with the tweaks described at Guru3D link. Using 259.32 right now.

yeah, you pressed the blue magic button next to driver version number?

let us know your findings..what GPUs you're running. If DX11, can't say it works...

This is from the SLIPatch FAQ:
"If you have old motherboard, based on mainstream chipsets like P965, P35, P45, P55 with lack of PCI-express lanes, you should check, which host feed PCI-Express slots for GPU's. For example if you have first PCI-E connected to northbridge PCI-E link, and second one connected to PCI-E from southbridge, then SLI can't be used."

Since you're using a P35 mainboard, this is the only idea I've got at the moment. Check in Everest under Motherboard -> Chipset to see which PCIe slots / devices are connected to which bridge.

Since my board has P35 with pci express slots on different chipsets, the bus sli with 8500 GT is not possible.
Would it work on tis motherboard if i had two cards with a cable bridge?

I still have problem with freezeng my system...........................................

I have tried combinations 258.96 + SLI PAtch 0.8b , + ForceWare 1.1 and 1.1 patches...

258.96 , SLi patch 0.8 b + b3.... still nothing...

197.45 + SLi patch 0.8b... ( that did work for 1 day... )

Sli patch 0.9b + 258.96 ( Worked for cople of hours )

With any solution my PC block and only thing i can do is restart!
I can see SLI option in NC panel... and can enable it... BUT.. it works for some time , and then blocks my system, and only solution is to restart PC, after restart.. it blocks again... and then i have to uninstall the SLI patch and drivers........

But by me "show customized setting names only" was the tick.
Now i have it

Using Gtx460
I must use DX11 Mod , because i got and Phenom X6.
I can´t run races in DX9, the games crashes , just in DX11 it works .

Yes, both cards work.

Both PCx slots are on one bridge.

1) do you have problems on 197.45 drivers?
2) if you have in which cases problems occur? (sli enabled, disabled)

Yes.

After first freez when SLI enabled, after that i try to disable SLI it freez.... :S

I have no problems in games, when sli is working.

I get freez in idle ( Windows )....
