Ok, who still wants to argue that the name scheme is confusing with:
-lower pricing
-lower power consumption
-better performance in single and dual card configurations
-MLAA will be released in Cat 10.12

Me, I'll never argue in favour of it, but that doesn't take away from the truth of your post. It's not that the rebranding suddenly became morally justifiable, it's just that it pales into insignificance in light of all the features you have enumerated.
