Entire companies, even industries, are built around catering to people with more money than sense. Relatively speaking, this isn't all that egregious and I really can't blame EVGA cause they will sell a few. That said, this card and the whole marketing idea is still pretty fail especially without even a copy of the freakin' game.

All of the Fatal1ty line of products were designed for gamers by a gamer, I dont remember too many free games with those products. All there was was a Fatal1ty logo and a bit of something that all your friends didnt have. Same thing here.

To be honest I only said the game sucked as the huge thread about the game sucking here, and most other places, and on their forum. Its nice to know it doesn't suck for everyone, if the commercials are to be believed it is awesome.

And the fact that MSRP is just that, suggeted retail price. Not the actual price you can buy it at. So unavailable at $519, is not a price, but a suggestion. So a price a a known retailer of $579 is a price. I can buy coke for $10 a gram, but it is currently unavailable. So, I had to buy it for $50 a gram.


Anyway, I was posting my honest thoughts about the pricing, and performance of the card. I am hoping one day nvidia makes a card so awesome that I buy one and love it. I still get a kicked in the gut feeling when I think about my X1800XT at the low price of $549. ATI can be assholes too.

But the card looks nice, the box looks good, but not for that price $579 real world dollars.

It is not that big of a deal. We all have different opinions about COD:BO, and it is a reality that for %50 of gamers, they cannot run the game. That is why people say it sucks. Opinions will change when they can run it. Just cause you are from [H] does not mean you can call someone mentally incompetent. Also, WTF is an AMD Troll?

1. I never got trolled, I called people on it.
2. Saying a game sucks because your computer can't handle it is bonkers and silly, as if your computer can't handle it and play it in a reasonable manner how can you judge the contents of the game.

Black Ops themed card yet no Black Ops game including! Is this a bad joke?

Yeah but the REAL fanbois will just sit there and jerk off to the box. So they will never know the game sucks. They will just run Vantage again and again while plastering their results all over unrelated threads and proclaim their dominance.

Until someone shows up with 6870 X-fire and their old "Physx GPU" card and decimates them at HIS H687F1G2M Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI...
$100 cheaper.

But also has to deal with shitty multi-gpu ati drivers in the process. Sorry, I'll take the single gpu solution the next time around. Multi-gpu has left a little to be desired. Waiting to see what 6900 has to offer, and if ATI finally gets their act together on software.

So, either 580 or 69xx is my next move.

At any rate, this particular 580 is utterly stupid. If you are going to make a game edition of a card, you should at least include the damn game. All this hype surrounding Black ops is making me nauseous. From what I have seen so far, it's a pretty crap game, and I'm tired of hearing about it already.
