Razer, the world's leading high-end precision gaming brand, is proud to announce that the Razer Goliathus has been redesigned and reinforced to ensure your soft mouse mat swiping experience is more hardcore than ever before.

Maintaining the same well-loved, speed-enhancing and control-precise features, the redesigned Razer Goliathus mouse mat delivers maximum performance to propel you to gaming stardom. Now imbued with a dense, anti-fraying and long-lasting stitched frame, your mouse mat stays sharp for consistent tournament ownage.

"The only thing wearing down should be your enemy," said Robert "RazerGuy" Krakoff, President Razer USA. "The Razer Goliathus is our pride and joy when it comes to soft mats, designed with professional gaming-validated weaves for an exceptional mouse swiping experience. Now with anti-fray edges, you can go forth and frag even harder, worry-free."

About the Razer Goliathus Control Edition Mouse Mat
The Razer Goliathus Control Edition gaming-grade mouse mat takes your mouse's superb precision up a notch by having it matched with the mat's specially textured weave capable of registering even the smallest of movements. This gives gamers an unprecedented level of targeting and tracking accuracy, while maintaining a perfectly controllable yet consistent glide. With its anti-fraying stitched frame, the edges last longer, giving you the freedom to tear your opponent to shreds, and not your mouse mat.

Will they replace frayed mousepads? My Goliathus control was a wreck after only a few short weeks.

Have the non Anti-Fray version and I love it!

Mine is just a month old but its still in excellent condition can't complain!

And I fancy myself a heavy gamer!

I'm just sliding my mouse left and right, Forwards and Backwards. I'm not slamming the mouse or moving the mouse pad to cause any damage or fraying.

I have been told that the speed edition is actually less slippery then the control, is this true?

I was about to buy both just to see but seeing as this change is coming I think I will wait for new stock (its a replacement, not a new edition?). My crappy no no name hard maps has worn the feet of my g5 and mx518(?) also its texture is inconsistent

Really enjoy my Goliathus, but I'd have a hard time shelling out another $25 for stitched edges... Maybe I'll pick up a control model to compliment the speed one I'm using now.
