Leading graphics card and mainboard manufacturer MSI, has released N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II 2GD5 and N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II 2GD5/OC with double memory to provide a better gaming experience with big HD monitors. The N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II 2GD5 series graphics card is equipped with the MSI exclusive Twin Frozr II thermal design that provides 20℃ lower temperatures.

The N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II 2GD5 is supported by MSI's Afterburner overclocking utility and helps release its overclocking potential and adopting Military Class II components provides the best product stability. With the above features, the N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II 2GD5 series graphics card is the best choice for HD gaming enthusiasts.

Double Memory Increases HD Gaming Performance
Gamers like to play games with anti-aliasing and the best special effects on a big HD monitor or even on 3 monitors. However, when a normal graphics card is running the game scene with lots of objects, its memory can't support the huge load and it will cause frame rate decreases and game "lag". The MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II 2GD5 series graphics cards adopt double memory to provide a true, smooth 3D HD gaming experience.

Exclusive Twin Frozr II Thermal Design Delivers 20℃ Cooler
The MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II 2GD5 series graphics cards are equipped with the exclusive Twin Frozr II thermal design, which uses a nickel plated copper base to absorb the heat from the GPU. Heat is rapidly transferred to the heat sink via the SuperPipe technology and is then dissipated with the airflow produced by the large dual PWM fans. Compared with the reference thermal design, MSI's Twin Frozr II thermal design lowers GPU's temperature by 20°C and provides an overall cooler platform.

GPU Overvoltage Boosts 25% Overclocking Potential
Moreover, MSI's exclusive Afterburner overclocking software not only allows users to adjust the fan speed according to their preferences, but also supports GPU Overvoltage function to fully unleash its potential, achieving a higher level performance with an overclocking rate of 25%. Users will be able to enjoy the satisfaction of vastly enhanced performance in just a few simple steps.

Military Class II Components Provide Best Stability
MSI uses Military Class II components in the N560GTX Twin Frozr II 2GD5 series graphics cards, such as Hi-c CAP- which are of the same class of components used in space shuttles and satellites and offer a lifespan 8 times longer than ordinary solid-state capacitors. In addition, Super Ferrite Chokes (SFC) are employed to not only improve efficiency by 10%, but also increase the maximum output current by 30%, and when coupled with All-Solid capacitors, the product's overall lifespan can be effectively extended.

a pair of these in SLi is a force to contend with, could be a price/performance snatch compared to the high end as it stands.

People asked for this when it came out. People who really wanted it picked up a version from another brand months ago. The market for it is gone. Even more so given the pending 28 nm cards. When will companies learn that these things must be available from launch or at least shortly after if they ever hope to get real market penetration. It's a lesson Palit had no trouble learning and they've been capitalizing on it for years now while their competitors twiddle their thumbs and pick their noses.

*Yawn*, is this supposed to impress? 2GB? Hell, it's 2011 and even 550-Tis come with 4GB. How's that for "Double Memory"?

Market may have dwindled but its not gone till NV 6 series launches. But I'd expect to see more stuff like this at EOL on a product. We didn't see the neat 460 combinations till the 5 series had been out awhile. Even then people were harping that they were too late.

Personally I'd prefer these too at launch and then bargain prices later when they try to clear out inventories instead of making special editions/etc. If only for people who couldn't afford SLI at the time but want a cheap performance boost later. Ended up buying used for my 2nd 460 cause prices just wouldn't drop to where I wanted it. Saved some scratch by waiting a few months. But I do wish they had done more aggressive price cutting on discontinued hardware.

Maybe it's useful if you want to do nVSurround3d with 2 cards in SLI.

you are right indeed, (but someone who likes to play games in nVSurround3d will get something more powerful perhaps).
Other than that, there are about 14 titles in the market with a need of more than 1GB video-ram, and the only one among them which is not GPU-limited(560ti) above 1920x1200+candy is: GTA4 (and maybe later RAGE will be, with some high-res PC-exclusive DLC).

Single card yes, i agree, however a 2gb 560 Sli setup, will deliver high framerates for at least another 2yrs...

Id say SLi would be the only real benefit, 2560x1600 or higher.

I'm with wizz, the 560 isn't capable of resolutions where the extra memory is needed or would make a difference.

I think this would have been a good idea when the 560Ti first came out. It would be good for budget nvidia surround. However, the HD 6950 2GB kills hi-res surround like a champ. It's pretty proven the AMD cards excel at high resolutions and eyecandy.

could prove to be a slight advantage when sli'd (like everyone has said).

facepalm though about the 550ti with 4gb.. I imagine someone somewhere out there installing the card with win xp then going "wtf?!" when they see their available memory lol
