1200 $ is an impressive price if it is the i7 3930k! nvm the 1200$ if for i7 2000 series :/ The i7 3930K one is over 2000$

I checked it and yes it is the 3930K, but the rest of the config is cheap components, so you'll need to dish out more cash for the GPU and so on. (I might be wrong, only gave it a quick look...curiosity).

I tried shaving off on the Cobra and it came down to 1457$ (only a 32GB SSD and cheap case and HD 5450 2x4GB of RAM etc)

Sadly Windows 7 couldn't be taken off, else it might of taken an extra 80$ off.

I mean come on, a 500$ CPU with a 340$ GPU? (Cobra config).
That's not what I would call a "power gaming" pc

2500k + GTX580 would trump that AND cost less.

This isn't for people who want to assemble their own computer.. FYI, uf you want 2500K + GTX 580, you can easily get that on their site

If everyone could build their own PC. companies like DELL, CompaQ & HP (etc etc etc) wouldnt exist in the commercial market selling pre-builts.

Secondly, If everyone could build their own PC - it would put me out of business. Not that i rely heavily on PC building and repairs as a secure form of income.

Some days you get lucky and a previous client you did a little work for leaves your details with a friend or family member whose having problems. Then theres a small snowball effect and suddenly almost all his friends and family have my details and are calling me up and asking for all sorts of work to be done as none of them are too PC savvy.

People with no hardware savvy with more money then sense will often pay stupid prices just for bragging rights if the PC does look really good.

Im not a case modder, but i have given most of the people i did custom builds for the option of having some designs laser cut into a side panel which I then mod up with the case to make it look flashy. unfortunately since im not an established business and i have no partnerships or trade links with other businesses, I have to pay the full amount for all the laser cutting which can send the cost spiraling.
