Has anyone with a 5xxx series or lower tried the new 11.11c AMD hotfix?

Dangit guys I'm gonna go crazy...

My graphics card is a 5970.

With the 11.11a AMD driver (which disables crossfire for Skyrim meaning that the game is only using one processor of the graphics card) I get this:
Which is quite good, game plays perfectly, also if using LAA fix. No crashes. 40+ fps. Good Image Quality.

With the 11.11c AMD driver (which is supposed to provide full crossfire support for 5xxx cards and older for Skyrim) I get this:
Hideous 20 fps, image quality got much lower. What's worse is that my sound starts stuttering immediately, going 'tsk tsk tsk' and the game freezes. Not a crash to desktop but I have to restart the pc. (I have the sound fix set through Windows control panel to 24 bit 44100Hz Studio Quality so that's not the problem)

What gives here? I really hope I'm missing out on something or did some mistake... But after I got the bad performance and image quality I even removed all my ini tweaks and my couple of mods (Landscape Texture Pack WIP by xclear & gorefest and HD FUrniture and Barrels final high resolution replacer by quazque) In fact the above screenshot with the 11.11c AMD driver is taken without the ini tweaks, without the mods, without using any LAA fix and after I verified game cache with Steam.

Help me please. Before I die from lack of game :cry:

That issue was supposed to be fixed in the latest patch anyways.

Oh, and I have no idea what to tell you about your game, except to roll back your drivers.

I want to roll back the game to 1.1.
Unfortunately I don't know how that's possible without reinstalling if the patch has already been applied.

I've saved my 2 latest saves - the one in Whiterun for the fps shots and my most recent one in the game.

I wiped out the entire game from SSD. Ran CCleaner. Ran Registry Mechanic. Ran Advanced System Care 3 (paid version), ran CCleaner again.

Now am downloading a fresh copy of the game to test with 11.11c. :ohwell:

I'll be updating how it works.

Yeah, just read that... At least the CS is coming out soon...-ish. They're putting the CS to tie into Steam?? God, I'll never get away from that crap. At least most of the real modders will be uploading to nexus. No mention of the damn LAA problem....

With all the Driver situation and Bethesda's patches... what can I say?

AMD and Bethesda, I'm disappointed in you both... I'm surprised to see that both of you are releasing drivers and patch which break the game more than they fix it... and he were are... left with a very addictive game, with the all the hype from finding out this game could actually ROCK! if it wasn't for all the load of cr** you've put us through...

When I think about it, I would rather have waited a few more weeks and wait for you guys to "properly" release this game... and if you can't do that... You should at least have the decency to Fix your mess...

Does anyone know a way to increase FPS in Skyrim... it makes me sick. I get 60FPS when looking in one direction in a town and it drops to 30FPS as soon as I look the other way...

Can't wait to play this game @ 60FPS as expected

yea Skyrim responds to Nvidia GPUs better on the whole right now to a rather ridiculous extent really especially when AA is taken into account.

But honestly I have not come across a dragon which decides to fly backwards yet.
Although I have only come across one dragon since the 1.2 patch.

Yeah I have been thinking of uninstalling installing again to see if my saves will still work with a previous version of Skyrim.
But I don't know if my steam backup of Skyrim is a back up with the updates or not.
The last time I backed up Skyrim on Steam was before the 18mb patch.
I'm kick myself for trusting the next patch to perform better.
