Philips announced a new 23-inch monitor for home and small-business consumers, the Moda 248X3LFHSB. The monitor is equipped with what its makers refer to as "LightFrame", a unique bezel that emits a soft-blue light that works to reduce eye strain and improve concentration. Its base and arm are made of aluminum. Its 23.6-inch panel sports full-HD resolution.
The monitor takes input from one D-Sub and two HDMI connectors. There are other Philips-exclusives, such as SmartColor, which auto-adjusts settings to result in the best color reproduction; SmartTXT, which works to improve the legibility to text; and SmartResponse, which is basically a low response time that works to alleviate "ghosting", in fast-moving images. The Philips Moda 248X3LFHSB is priced at SG $399 (US $316).
