Accelero Xtreme III offers the best cooling solution for the fastest single GPU graphics cards in the market, and it is extraordinarily quiet too. Its up-to-date mounting mechanism and heatsink design makes it compatible with a wide range of graphic cards. It comes with a comprehensive set of 31 RAM and VR heatsinks to cool all the components surrounding the GPU. With an impressive cooling capacity of up to 300 Watts, the Accelero Xtreme III is the dream of enthusiasts looking to build the ultimate game rig.

Accelero Xtreme III is designed to outperform the other high-performance graphics card coolers in the market - It consists of three 92 mm PWM fans (with low-noise impellers and patented fan holder), five heatpipes and an 83-fin heatsink to bring a lavish but quiet airflow between 900 to 2,000 RPM with a cooling capacity of up to 300 Watts. The package also provides you with our award-winning MX-4 thermal compound to enhance the GPU's thermal conductivity.

To further extend the cooling efficiency to the surrounding components, affix them with the RAM and VR heatsinks with the bundled thermal adhesive, which is three times more reliable than generic thermal tape in terms of heat dissipation and adhesiveness.

Accelero Xtreme III comes with a six-year limited warranty and a MSRP at 119.95 USD/90.41 EUR, excluding VAT.

yet a Accelero Xtreme that don't fit Ref. GTX 680 design, funny enough than make room for double dvi on top of each other but not the double 6pins.

I wish they would make something more SLi/X-fire friendly. e.g. trying to keep it dual slot instead of tripple slot. mounting these coolers on the top GPU usually means that its literally touching the card below and heat from the bottom card is sucked into the fans and used to cool the top card which totally negitates the reason behind getting one of these coolers.

I cant see why they cant come up with a similar cooler to MSI's Twin FrozR coolers. it doesnt have to be totally superior to stock cooling, Id be happy if it shaved off 10-15'c from my 6970s so long as it did it silently. as the squirell cage coolers can get pretty loud.

Yeah, TwinFrozr is cool. It cools well but doesn't look oversized. I think the main purpose of the above is to make the most overclocked single card solution. For multi-card configs i still think exhaust coolers are better since they can stack nicely.

honestly I remember when the VGA Silencer Came out for the R300 Core VPUs n it was a major change in cooling design- it was an overclockers pipedream, still appears to be used today by HIS

Dear AC. The super-minor changes you do to the original extreme really deserve a whole new version? Over and over?

lol, really. You sure you installed correctly. I use them on my 5870 and never over 76c under load.
The fans will keep it cool enough to help dissipated the heat from it. Which I set my fans at 50%, and that is more than enough.

From a corporate/advertising/profit standpoint, yes and yes.

Can some one explain me why they charge so much for air cooling video cards?

For the price I rather buy water cooling GPU block that will cool much better.

Unless you have the rest of the parts, you'll need to buy a radiator and pump as well. If you're setup for watercooling, a GPU block would be the way to go. If you are an "air cooler" and want the very best GPU cooling this is it. It is about $40 bucks overpriced though, no doubt.

ignore the pricing. Its cheaper once in stores. Accelero Xtreme II is only $80. This should be $80-$90 once released.
There own website is priced much higher.

maybe it includes posting and swiss cheese. my 2 fan version was less than 40 € 1 year ago... 70 € would be correct.... Maybe time to just buy a GPU that comes with custom cooling out of the box like the Asus 670 or 680 W1z reviewed?

It would be nice if they (or someone) started making custom VRM and VRAM heatsinks to go with these coolers that you could buy seperately. Specifically ones that are designed to attach to the card via screws and use thermal paste instead of thermal pads/adhesive. They could sell a barebones version of this cooler without all the miscellaneous heatsinks, most of which go unused, for say $5-10 less.

I have thought about getting one of these if I were to get a higher end card. None of the air aftermarket air coolers seem to be that quiet. I currently have a msi tw3. I am also very interested in that silent asus 670

LOL. My 7950 came with a 3 fan cooler that's a little smaller and I can't pump enough volts into it to get it over low 60s and the fans don't even reach 50% (still silent).

What a waste of money. You might as well watercool.

For this exact reason, I just received my Thermalright HR-03 GT 5 mins ago. I hate anything that limits what I may do in the future. And the fact that the Thermalright HR-03 GT is about 1/5 the price.

I found this company that makes custom cooling solutions. Their products look really great with a high degree of customization possible; they would not however, reply to my calls or emails.
