I'm going to buy a bulk lot of generic usb drives and fart on each one of them. I will then sell them at a premium while marketing them as "perfect for toilet based USB music players", and "Transfer whole albums faster than you can flush with ultimate speed using bleeding edge USB 2.0 technology". *USB 2.0 may or may not have been surpassed by USB 3.0 and is no longer impressive or worthy of being called fast, not that it ever really was.

This drive is made of special plastic body which makes is heat and shock resistant, which is good in hot exterior conditions. Also its small size and light weight features makes it a good choice in car interiors. That is what i feel the specialty of the product from the article

I use a tiny Sandisk Cruzer Fit USB drive and it works great. I don't see what's so special or superior about this one. :shadedshu

It's not that small at all. And what USB stick isn't shock resistant? Heat resistance might not be standard depending on how resistant it really is, but it doesn't get that hot in the car anyway.

While in the Netherlands you might get some mild 25C summers, the rest of the world isn't so fortunate, if you live further down south it's quite a problem. A few days ago I left my car in the sun for a few hours (red car with tan interior, including dash - so "easier" on the sun than a black car) and the temperature inside was about 60C.
Even so, I never had any of my Kingston or Corsair USB sticks melt yet :)

Speak for yourself. We've been seeing 95-105F degree temps where I live. When you open your car after it's been sitting in a parking lot all day you could practically cook your lunch in there.

Welcome to 2009 when i had my first nano drive which is like 2x smaller than this crap (DeLock Nano 8GB). I'm now using Sandisk Fit 16GB which is the same size as the old DeLock Nano.
These nano drives are so small you cannot even see when they are plugged into the car stereo USB port.

Stop selling us some "dedicated" products that are clearly inferior to stuff that we've been using for ages.

I thought all solid state storage like usb drives and ssd drives were already shock resistant?

5MB/s is slow for a write speed (not fast at all), and it seems too large to use for most car CD players.

we get 45C summers here, and i've never had a USB drive from it.

Buying DeLock Nano or Sandisk Fit is a way better thing to do imo... These are so tiny you can't even breake it while it's plugged in. It's just physically impossible. Unless you try to hit it with a hammer or something and even there, you'd smash half the dash while doing it...

Was given a 1st gen iPod Mini. Pulled the Hitachi micro drive and popped in a 400X compact flash card. Have it hooked into the back of my radio and I've never had an issue with heat (live in Texas).

I do have a front USB port on my radio but it doesn't shuffle like I want it to. I can't skip a song and it continue to shuffle. The iPod has no problems doing this.
