Just wondering who on TPU plays or has played TERA and what their opinion of it is/was, I am giving the 7 day trial a shot and it looks promising but sadly so do many games that eventually end up being letdowns in the end *cough* WoW *cough* but I am curious about a number of things regarding TERA. Sadly I cannot interact with any of the player due to trial players being unable to chat in game.

What is the player base like, are they friendly or tend to have a negative or overbearing attitude?

To your knowledge is their a decent following for the game or will it die out?

Does it deliver enough variety beyond your stand kill X and X monsters type quests.

Does it justify the subscription price they are asking or alternatively are chronoscrolls affordable in game?

I am really hoping this is a game I can jump into and enjoy without burning the fun out of it in a relatively short time span.

When I played they were hardcore at the upper levels, 2 on 1 ganking while questing was miserable

Die out but maintain a small base

Not really, very standard quests

Thats debatable I didnt last a month to actually pay for my sub.

Overall its a very grindy MMO, The environments are nice and varied but its all the same, finish 5 quests here, goto this camp, finish some more quests etc. got boring FAST.

I bought Tera for 24.95 on a Amazon sale awhile back, worst impulse buy I have made in quite some time, usually I do demos or trials first. Decided to take a risk and it bit me in the butt. Crap game imo.

If i have no problem with the games such as Monster Hunter and WoW (until other things eventually got in the way) with their repetitive structure until you level enough for a slightly more diverse array of content is their enough to keep me playing once I reach that point if I can stand the grinding it takes to reach it and will having friends that play it put me in a position where I do not need large groups of people (think WoW dungeons that need 5 people/raids) to enjoy the endgame content?
