Can I ask for opinions please, I don't really wanna spend 3,500.000 credits for nothing, I have the M103 (in fact I have all of every US line up to tier 10) but I have now enough research to move from the IS3 to the IS8, I cannot afford to keep both, should I sell the M103 for the IS8 or stick and forget the Russian?

I do well with the M103, will the IS8 give me as much back, if it is more fun but a little less successful I don't mind too much but don't want to buy a dog.

If you want IS-7 then go ahead and buy IS-8. If not stick with M103. I really didn't like IS-8 but maybe it wasn't on my style.

I cannot help you more sorry. After latest garage cleanups now I have only 2 Tier 10 heavy's in my garage: IS-7 and E5.
IS-7 because good ol' times when it was most feared tank on the map (and for badass looking too) and E5 because is still a very nice T10 heavy.

as jt driver i like is8. very soft and easy to pen. if there werent lovely 0dmg shots and idiotic dispersion sistem of wargame.net i would have 100% success vs is8. very nice tank

I would say the T110 is the second best tier ten heavy at the moment, the rumor is the T57 will get nerfed making it the best once more. The T110 plays more like a large Medium tank while the IS7 plays more like a more powerful IS3.

Thanks, I have the T110 already.... well have researched it, played it and sold it, I dont think I will bother with the IS8 > IS7 route, I think I will just buy back my T110 @ tier 10, mainly because as some of said, that IS8 side and rear armour is paper and it's a long long grind to IS7

well if you can free xp tracks and t10 gun (yesterday got 2 hits for about 500 and above from one is8) and may be better then stock engine (duno what is compability in russian tech, i drive only german) and if you play it as slower med then probaly you could do it quite well. just stay away from tds aim and get anty arty measures and you will be fine.
on the other side i have seen it one shooted from obj212 as well so...
everything depeneds from behindkeybord device and wargame.net bulshit calculation system.

Researched my first tier vii tank today, can't wait for the new fun at higher tiers! It's fun because I show my general stats which include my heavies, which I don't use anymore. They think I'm a 40%er, but I'm a 60%+ player. I love beating up on unsuspecting tier viiis... I'm almost at 1500 games, I'm super noob, but I have a purpose!

I just looked at my service record in-game, as well as having that 'statistics mod' that lets me arrange the tanks listed either by tier, type, name (alphabetically), battles, or winrate.

Bought back the T110 tier 10, damn it took me 6 games to get a win, seemed every game at some point I had a T57 heavy and IS7 paired up and on top of me, I don't have premium at the moment and even with 3 kills and almost 4K of damage I was down nearly 30K credits per game .

Bad stuff at Tier 10 man but you know that on standard account it's very-very hard to keep a positive balance playing Tier 10 tanks.
And keep in mind that now E5 is on event till the end of the month (+30% credits) so it will be worst from June.

As for me in last couple of days I barely play WoT. Just some doubles here and there and that's it. Maybe I'm a "little" bored after 41k random battles who knows?
But now I'm wasting my time playing War Thunder Arcade battles. Man I know I have fun. It's like I was in the beginning of WoT.
It's hard to hit some flying targets but also is fun to chase them or to shake them from your six. And graphics are simply gorgeous...

Wait until you get to tier 8+ !! As an aside, I need to buy back my T92 Arty, I was in a tier 9/10 game last night, with arty overkill, 3 tier 8's and a tier 7 arty on each side... BUT we had a T92 on our side...... 8 kills and he one shotted a T57 and AMXB....... I needz it back!

He was lucky Tatty, believe me.
T92 is first on my sell list after it's moved to Tier 10. For me is the worst T8 arty. Dunno what's happened but now it isn't like before. I can hardly hit something nowadays and splash it isn't what it used to be pre-nerf. And in 0.8.6 will be nerfed more (OK, all arty's will be nerfed).
But I have high hopes from new T9 US arty M53/55.

And a little piece of advice for you WoT fans. Play War Thunder now and then just to familiarize yourself with it's interface (it's a little bit different from WoT).
Why? Because sometime in Autumn will have this for beta testing.

Not up to speed on updates and proposed changes, I should be really, didn't actually realise that arty was going to go up to tier 10 Damn what guns they gonna have? See little point in nerfing if they are going to introduce possible arty with a potential 2500+ damage hit.

IMO they would be far better off not nerfing arty but limiting arty to tier 6 max and no more than 3 per team (possibly 2).

Same arty as at Tier 8 now but nerfed at RoF, accuracy and aiming time. :shadedshu

You can find here upcoming changes in game mechanics in 0.8.6 and you'll find arty too.

BTW today 0.8.6 test server should be up so you can play a little with new changes.

it will be interesting to see where my SU14 goes in at... the tier 7 or the tier 8, at tier 8 there is little difference in ROF however obviously it's going to be up against generally higher tier tanks

edit: those that have t8 unlocked will still have it avilable for purchase owners of t8 arty will get only tierN changed. for rest happy grinding
i was hoping 8.6 to come at least at the end of the summer so i can reseach gwe w/o to have to grind 2 more teirs but seams no luck for me

Clearly from the earlier link there are several new arties coming in 2-6?? Additionally, SU14 is currently tier 6, there is an SU14 @ tier 8 but also a new SU14 derivitive in at Tier 7 other changes include the SU8 moving from 5 to 6.
