Wow, finding even with a kill, and a match win, can lose points in a black prince. Did finally make points after several tries, but it's hard in a tier 7 tank(of course still nearly stock, just wanted my first tier 7). Hope my comet is easier....

Once you get your BP equipped up you should rarely if never lose money on it. The shells are pretty cheap, it has decent enough armour for you to live long enough to make your money back. Unless you are a sadist I wouldn't recommend going through BP-Caernarvon, no matter how good the Conq is unless you know what you are doing the BP-Caer grind is going to be brutal.

Continue with Comet instead, its an ok Tier 7. When you reach Cent (and 7/1) things are giong to get interesting again.

Can the IS-7 hit 40+kph easily? In my experience once you hit (and mantain 40+kph) its pretty hard for people to shoot you. I personally have no problems against IS-7 (and I have only Tiger II, Ferdi and AMX 13 90 to face it), other than bouncy side and back armour. Wouldn't engage it in my 13 90, but I am more than happy to keep it occupied with either Ferd or Tiger II. I have bigger problems against E100, and the gokarts.

In that link I didn't see anything about increased speed for the IS7 but I may have missed it, anyway It's probably just a wind up, can you really see a large (ish) heavy tank going faster than a "fast" Medium??

Clearly from the earlier link there are several new arties coming in 2-6?? Additionally, SU14 is currently tier 6, there is an SU14 @ tier 8 but also a new SU14 derivitive in at Tier 7 other changes include the SU8 moving from 5 to 6.

hadnt checked link. my info was from one ASAP vid from wargame.
seams they couldnt balance new t8 and t9 artys so they desided to add new tech in lower tieres and bump current artys up in tiers.
good thing is i can go back to gwp as soon as i research gwe

I still find the German tanks pretty competitive. Not tier 9/10 since I have not reached them, but I have driven a lot of competitive lower tier German tanks, from PzIV/StuGIII to VK3601H, Tiger P, Tiger II, Panther II, Grille and Hummel, and more. Maus in its current form is quite useless, E100 is still a nightmare to handle if driven by a competent driver, I have heard good things about E50M and Leopard 1.

If you want a poster boy for horrible tanks, look no further than the British line. They have fine tanks (Cromwell, Centurion), but most other in the tree is very challenging to play.

I have great success both against and with KV-1S with my VK3601H, I can usually get my 3 shots to kill him before he kills me. Occasional bounces helps a lot. It can keep up with the KV1s platoons, which provides a very nasty surprise and a quick victory to unsuspecting opponents. 59% winrate is not spactacular, but its my best in terms of victories.

I have no problem using my Tiger II against the IS3, KV4 and KV5. Just either snipe them from a distance, or drive right next to them so they can't get the lfp. IS3 burns nicely, KV5 will take a bit of time (annoying and very dangerous if he has friends), KV4 to my Tiger II is just a pinata. I have a feeling that we are driving different Tiger IIs

As for Brits with good armour, I don't really know which one you are talking about. The Churchill tanks (1,7,BP) are only decent for their tier, gets swiss cheesed by higher tier tanks (especially BP when you can meet the Tier 9 monsters). Sidescraping with them works beautifully, but only when you are not getting flanked into pieces. Good rof, penetration is pretty bad for Churchill 7 and BP (171 pen for a slow tank is just not feasible). Caernarvon and above gets a good pen, but you sacrifice either alpha (200+ avg dmg from a tier 8 will just get laughed off by most opponents), poor hull (Conq), or hard to drive (FV).

Yeah, I prefer the faster tanks, I'm pretty much 60%er in those. I was pruning my useless heavies that I only do 40% in off. Just decided to keep my church vii because I actually do not bad in it, and noticed I could get the BP. Found out a good thing though, because I'm worried about losing silver, I'm cheap with shells... over 70% in the BP so far... and yes, I'm actually grinding for my comet and above line.

i can show you about "bouncy frontal armor" of the indien panzer as well. bouncy ya but only for lower tier non russian.

well if this was happening from time to time ok - bad luck. but when it happens every 2nd game this cant be bad luck only. when you add aslo the fact that german tank models are scaled to be bigger then russian (not sure for american and french but i think they are also scaled bigger). and when you use addon for weak spots and when you compare sizes of weak zones and component damage areas for russian and other nations then it is clearly not accidental. open wikipedia and read about tiger2. germans stoped using turret space for ammo just after few battles and they reduced ammo capacity to 68 shells. in game tiger2 has max 68 shells but yet huge ammo rack areas are still presented at turret. same is with e75. install that addon and you will see interesing things. almost all heavies have weakspots at front. from russian tanks only is8 and is6 driver hatchet has weak spots and st-1 at the front of the stock turret but it is still 180-200mm tick. try to shoot kv1s IS is2 or is3 in driver hatchet. insta bounce. on test server i had bounce from IS front with jpe100. i almost felt down from chair laughing.

few post back burebista has screenshot on his t-62. have a look on pen values of the gun. max is 380. this meanse that it is enough just to point at target and shoot. no need to aim weekspots, just press fire. jpe100 has lower pen if i remember well or its max pen was about 382 cant check it atm.

PS oh wait i forgot kv1 has weak sopts in front. tiny dot around hull machine gun. try to shoot it with tier5 tier6 tank.

This is one of my major gripe with WoT: Premium ammo.
It was bearable/hardly noticeable when it was for gold only because just a few used it but now when everybody and his dog can afford premium ammo for credits it's a mess.
It doesn't matter how skilled you are in angling your tank, that guy in front of you just point-and-click anywhere on your front and pens you.

Of course you can ding with gold ammo too (thank you RNG) but the chances are slim.

I guess my biggest gripe is the artillery balancing act. IMO most of the tiers are fairly balanced EXCEPT IX and X which seems to receive all the excess artillery held back from the other tiers.

Which I really don't mind too much regarding tier X since most of the tanks are already maxed out but tier IX can be frustrating at times trying to get to tier X. At some point one has to take a peep and hopefully not get 1-shotted by a tier VIII arty. Not really sure how the tier IX and tier X artillery will help either. If anything they should reduce it to tier 7.

Only good thing is tier VII and VIII are alot more fun.

This is one of my major gripe with WoT: Premium ammo.

Of course you can ding with gold ammo too (thank you RNG) but the chances are slim.

bigest gripe is that they have tried to implement very compicated matematical/probability model into arcade game. adding rng in computer game combat system is biggest shit ever made. brightest exampe is civilization series. longbowman killing rifelman. rifelman kills tank.
those 0dmg hits everyone hates are consequence of rng. that is why they cant fix em. they have to rework whole mat model of the game.

i think idea of the tier 10 artys is that teir 10 to enter only tier 12 battles and to met only t10 tech + t5-t6 scouts.

I've played last night a couple of games on test server with new T9 US arty. The games were with 2-3 arty's/team. Dunno if it will be the same on live battles, we will see.
As a side note for the first time in my 41k battles I saw twice arty's as top dogs in teams (in Tier 10 battles).

Only good thing is tier VII and VIII are alot more fun.

Don't be so sure, don't forget that Russians still have a 203 arty guns at those tiers and those hurts bad.

Yeah premium ammo swisscheeses any tank out there, and the German ones are unfortunately bigger than the rest. That said, I still enjoy my German tanks, even if you discount the hull their guns are still have guns with good characteristics (except the silly VK3002D and others)
