Cooler Master, an industry leading case, thermal solution, gaming gear, and mobile accessory manufacturer, announced the release of its newest keyboard: QuickFire Ultimate. Cooler Master has taken all the features of previous QuickFire keyboards and added enhancements. The result is the QuickFire Ultimate - the most feature packed mechanical gaming keyboard in the QuickFire line.

The QuickFire Ultimate is a full sized, steel-reinforced, completely backlit mechanical gaming keyboard.

Quality That Lasts
High quality Cherry MX switches means faster key presses and response times. Select from 3 different Cherry MX switches: red, blue or brown. These long-lasting switches are rated for over 50 million key strokes. The key caps are laser-marked and have a non-glossy coating to improve tactile response and eliminate fading. An embedded steel plate gives the Ultimate maximum stability and durability. A gold plated, braided USB cable and routing management groove maintains a strong link between keyboard and PC.

Your Gaming Command Center
QuickFire Ultimate has full LED backlights with 5 brightness levels. 3 modes can be toggled so only select keys will be on. N-key roll over in USB mode means every single key press is registered. 7 easy access multimedia shortcuts let you change settings on-the-fly.

I have the cm quickfire keyboard but I got the one without the numpad as I have limited space. I have found them to be great keyboards.

Misery loves company, so you'll be relieved to know that I bought the QuickFire Pro 3 months ago... And only because it seemed that a full-lit version will not be around for quite a while.

Last year I bought a Fractal Design Define R3, and then the R4 came out 2 months later...

Somebody up there really enjoys trolling me.

Also 3 months ... it's fine, it will age well ... and then it will be the rare one, the early one, the one that no one has

Why does the back light up red even on the blue one , Does it double as a flashlight ? And why do most lighted keyboards light up the bottom of the keys when it's easier to see if only the tops were lit IMO .

I have a CM quickfire Rapid Red and the CM Quickfire TK Reds as well. For me at least I like tenkeyless keyboards way more.

Just love that CM boards aren't glossy. My gf has the blue switch version. All 3 boards are solid. So definitely no worries in terms of quality from CM.

If people are looking for full mechanical keyboards this and Das are probably your best choices.

A steel plate would be fairly reflective, lighting-wise. It's these diffused reflections from LED backlight that you're seeing between the keycaps.

Looks like a quality keyboard but for the price they want, get a Ducky.

So if you take the Razer Lycosa for instance and substitute a steel plate it wound lite on the bottom also...I'm not so sure about that , I think manufacturers decide if the bottom lights up . but hey maybe I'm wrong .

If your talking about the splash of red behind the keyboard its PHOTOSHOPPED IN the background is black and they used Photoshop to edit the images used the red to make it stand out.

Just checked out the Ducky Zero Shine orange led and there's hardly no led bleeding on bottom it has a very clean look , but the Ducky Shine II is very bottom lit , Don't know if it's the photos or they were trying for that look . The Ducky is now at the top of my next keyboard list , it's a no bling board without extra gaming buttons ( have a G-700 mouse with 13 buttons I don't utilize already ) and I think I read were the Ducky also uses a steel plate . I just have to get over the $140 sticker shock for a keyboard but it looks worth it . #2 on the list wound be the Cooler Master Trigger but they are hard to find with the brown MXs right now for some reason .

yea certain MX keys are easy to find others extremely hard
Whats funny is MX reds and MX blacks used to be rare now they are everywhere lol I remember when almost every mechanical was MX blue for most of them.

This spring I looked to getting the CM Trigger w/browns and instead got the Ducky Shine II w/browns, white leds and English+Chinese lettering.

I couldn't be happier. It just feels so solid and a real pleasure to type and game on. I'm hooked on mech keyboards.
