hey chopper,
i flashed my own modified bios 10 times and never loose my powerplay.still downclocks.
does your card downclock now with orig bios?
i have a feeling these asus cards make no difference in powertune.
do you guys see more vddc current or higher temps on the vrm if ya change powertune settings?
even if i change volts from 1,00 to 1,10v i get same vddc+vrm-temps.
No I am not talking about power tune. I have a Hex edited bios now, which someone edited for me. And the stock settings are now 1050/1300. Trixx shows 1.25v but gpu-z shows it hovers between 1.111-1.120 when running furmark full load.
It does clock back to 2d clocks.
quejo, UEFI won't be supported. I'll work on memory voltages later.
basco i have tested your BIOS and VBE7 calculates the right voltages.
Chopper1591 you still will be able to do whatever you want with clocks/voltages. Modifying your BIOS is only about changing defaults.
Ok. I get what you mean.
But can this bios editor raise the voltage higher then i can set in Trixx?
Because whatever I set in Trixx the voltage won't raise.
But someone on overclock.net edited my bios with Hex Editor and rose the voltage a bit but didn't unlock it. It can be done in the bios, multiple guys have done it but I am not very good with the Hex Editor. In fact I don't know at all what to do.
With the stock bios the voltage is mostly around 1.09Xv so that wouldn't even let me clock to 1100.
The temps are great with the 1050/1300 clocks. When gaming at around 75-80% load the core stays at around 60-64 and the vrms 56-60 with fan at around 45-50%
I've tried it with several BIOS images from 7770's and 7790's. All the 7770's loaded fine but none of the 7790's would.
In the opening post it states the 7790 isn't supported.
