Hightech Information System (HIS) today proudly announces the HIS R9 280X iPower IceQX2 Turbo Boost Clock 3GB GDDR5. HIS R9 280X iPower IceQX2 Turbo Boost Clock 3GB GDDR5 features iPower for more voltage, Boost Clock & Turbo for appealing performance, IceQX2 for cooler and quieter. Armed with iPower design, the extra PWM phases provide the card with higher and more stable power output which leads to a better-than-expected overclocking. In comparison with 850MHz of the reference board, the core clock of the card has been by default set at 1000MHz.

With the latest technologies and features of R9 280X chipset, the card provides an all-round graphic experience to all users. The state-of-the-art IceQX2 coolers empower the card with the best cooling solution. The card is cooler than the reference design and is below 28dB during watching movies, surfing on internet and ordinary work. Even when graphic-intensive gaming is being played, the card still remains at very quiet level. The card comes with the innovative overclocking software iTurbo. With the user-friendly design, the user can control the temperature, speed and voltage of the card by very simple steps.

The card is further strengthened by HIS Long Lasting Design which effectively prolong the life span of the card. The special metal RIB provides extra strength to the PCBs to avoid bending. Loaded with AMD's latest technology, such as GCN, Apps Faster & Smoother and so on, the card has revolutionary improvements on computing performance, gaming experience as well as power consumption!

What about it? 1050? It holds there constantly unlike Nvidia GPUs? AMD boost is LOL because it shows out of the gate the boost clocks.

Since this is a "Turbo Boost Clock" i thought it would be around 1100?

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
No clue. Whatever it is, it will sit there out of the gate...

That said, the 280x already "boosts" to 1050, so it may be 1100.

No it doesn't. It boosts to 1000, from 850.

The "Turbo" version of the card comes in at 1K and 'boosts' to 1.5K.. Sorry I was talking about the card that was the context of this thread.. my bad for not adding that to my post.

Reference versions are 850-1K boost. Which, boost is funny on AMD cards as I mentioned earlier as it sits at those clocks out of the box. Sorry, I have the turbo version on the bench now... Thought this announcement was 'new'. I had the card in hand a a week ago with no NDA on it, LOL (but received the same email today from HIS!).

Ah well, I generally like HIS' cards, even if I don't like the blue theme, but if it's like the "older" IceQs, it will be good.
