AMD Radeon R9 290X 4 GB

Think its just BF4

i'm not even sure if you get bf4 for 549. AMD was very vague about that.

I can't say that missing the analog outputs should be a negative thing, because if someone buys a card like this, I think that his/her monitor isn't some analog monitor from the stone age..

completely agree, but need to make people aware of that fact too. there's countless people out there who bought cheap 1080p monitors with analog vga only

Ta-Ta Titan. GTX 780 Ti stillborn?

For the first time NVidia is actually offering a better game bundle than AMD.

At a much higher price. The bundle they offer only last 1month. The Never Settle bundle lasted much longer and is confirmed to be coming back soon.

I wouldn't discount NVidia yet. I would be surprised if there wasn't an NVidia press release today or tomorrow with price changes.

$30 more for the BF4 bundled version.

Check out Anand's made up scores lol. They're not even close to these.

When will people learn?

Please, point out the discrepancies. A few examples would be helpful.

X87 vs. X79? Some scores seem way off, but with some like Metro they're pretty close.

very very bad cooler from amd as always, temp is a real issue here, the clock speed fall down
really need some custom cooler from aib's
and wanna see some test with watercooling

i doubteven with price cuts they will be able to do 500$. dont think they can afford anything <700$ on the titan.

and slashing the price will put a frown on people who have already got it. That will show how much profits nvia was screwing out of people.

bet the people at nvidia are going crazy and bald now XD

I ordered the XFX one, you just saved me $29! Thanks so much!:respect::pimp:

I'm basically getting BF4 for free :p

Awesome!

Question, where is the total system power consumption? i see card, but not total system.
I ask because I have a 500w psu with a 4770k, one HD, and nothing else.

NVidia is not going to reduce the price on Titan. Titan is a compute card that AMD can't match in DP floating point performance, and the people who can use compute capabilities are the only people who should have been buying it. It was a fluke that Titan ended up being a high end gaming card as well. That compute niche is restored with high end gaming cards like the R9 290X and will further be reinforced with the GTX 780Ti. There still is no DP compute card that can compete with Titan for the price.

You better have a good PSU then, because the R9 290X uses 300+W. A 4770K stock is around 100W, and the auxiliary components are probably another 50W. Your power supply at 90% load will probably be louder than the 290X ever will. If you overclock your CPU, then you better get a larger power supply.

After Nvidia raped the wallets of the enthusiast consumer base for ~7 months, you wouldn't discount Nvidia?

I'm confident they can. GK110 die size isn't really that far from GF110, and they were able to sell the 580 at $500. The GTX580 even has a better power section than Titan. (srsly, 6 phases on a $1000 card?)

THIS is their real problem.

total system on anandtech shows 400W in furmark so you should be perfectly fine.
