Sharper Katana is back! Katana 2 CPU Cooler

Scythe Co., Ltd (Tokyo, Japan) announces the Katana 2 CPU Cooler, the 2nd generation of the former value-for-money CPU Cooler, Katana CPU Cooler, to the market. This version "2" comes with total 3 heatpipes, unique sloping shaped heatsink fins to provide a better performance than the previous model. Installation is much easier than the previous model, and the default fan is the Scythe original "Kaze Jyu 100mm Fan" to maximize the cooling performance yet maintain the high level of silence. Ya that's a pretty bad idea. Although the Scythe Ninja and Infinity are really great. Perhaps the best air coolers on the market right now.

It's not about the heat you are blowing at the mosfets/northbridge, it's about moving the air in that tight locations. A small breeze of air even when hot will cool these elements quite efficient. And besides to blow air from the cooler to other parts of the motherboard is not new, so why are you complaining about it now?

I wouldnt say they are the best air coolers on the market right now. However, I like the slim profile of this cpu cooler. The way the fins are shaped and all that, allows for excellent cooling. Someone needs to bench this and show some results

You're actualy right. The air it blows isn't even that hot/warm (at least that's the case with the Ninja), so it should be OK. But I still think the Ninja & Infinity are better. Until someone proves me wrong, of course.

it's about price man
this one is cheaper, its not for hard core overclocker

hmm but this new one is better than Katana Cu, thats the question??
