Has anyone who owns a r9 290 not 290x, have experienced random computer freezing and restarts?
Turn off hardware acceleration in Flash Player. - To fix blue Screen / Restart.

Black Screens = Drivers crash

Never had that problem.

Nope, only black screen is when a over clock is to high. Black screen will go back to normal if left for a min or so but other wise no black screens

Hey :)

Does anybody have a Sapphire Vapor-X R9 290X Tri-X OC Bios?
Do you have a R9-290X Vapor-X OC because if you don't the R9 290X Vapor-X OC BIOS will brick all cards that aren't the R9 290X Vapor-X OC.

I have the same card but the non-x version. A friend of mine was able to upgrade his sapphire r9 290 vapor x oc to an r9 290x vapor x by flashing the "x" bios. Unfortunally he hasnt the bios file anymore.
If the flash goes wrong, i can change the bios by a jumper on the card.

I figured as much lol. I'll let you know this weekend if I'm going to sell it. Its a nice card.. Way bigger then my MSI gaming card and it works well. The bios flash sucked but I fixed that in a hurry in dos.

What's better for over clocking 2 different vendor cards? Trix or MSI an?

Yeah my Asus is clocked at 1000/1260 ,and the MSI is 977/1250 and trixx isn't very friendly when clocking to the same frequency.

Did you try individually clocking them with AB

Also will i lose performance by crossfiring a R9 290 with a R9 290X
