Planning to build a budget system for my wife. It would be only used for gaming (Dota 2 to be specific). And i want it small.

Got a CM elite 110 already, just waiting the motherboard to arrive.

Will it fit?

Biostar H81MHV3

Support the Intel 4th generation Core i7 and Core i5 processors in the 1150 package
Intel H81 single chip architecture
Support 2-DIMM DDR3-1600/1333 up to 16G maximum capacity

Thanks!

the board isn't even ITX, i don't even know what to call it. Bigger than an itx and smaller compared to a MATX.

Sorry I take that back. I didn't look up the board initaly

Board
Micro ATX Form Factor Dimension: 19cm x 17cm ( W x L )

Case:
Physical Spec
Dimensions
11.1" x 8.2" x 10.3" (W x H x D)

Always assume that an mATX board will not fit in a ITX case. Plan builds properly to avoid nasty surprises.

Something funny going on here. The image in the OP is Mini-ITX, only four mounting screws. I checked the Biostar site to see it does indeed say Micro-ATX, but again, the images of the board are of Mini-ITX motherboards, not Micro-ATX.

The board in all the images will fit. The real question here is did Biostar screw up on the images, or did they screw up on the form factor naming?

It uses the 4 mounting holes of mITX, but mATX uses those 4 holes too(and usually, but not always, 2 more). The reason the board is labelled mATX is because it has two expansion slots, mITX only has one expansion slot. So the board doesn't fit in the mITX form factor, but it isn't a true mATX either, I'd call it Flex-mATX. It is labelled mATX though, because it is guaranteed to fit in any mATX case, it will not fit in all mITX cases though.

Now, as for fitting in the Cooler Master Elite 110. Yes, it should fit in that case only because the has space for two expansion slots. Usually this is so that you can use a dual-slot graphics card on a mITX motherboard. In this situation, however, the two slots will actually line up with two expansion slots on the motherboard. Now, the issue I see with this is that, due to the layout of the motherboard you will only be able to use a single slot graphics card with the case. With a little modding(of the card or the case) you might be able to squeeze a dual-slot card in there, but it isn't guaranteed.

Why not just get a mITX motherboard?

Really in a tight budget for a second build so I have to look for savings on every pc part.
mITX board costs $80 while this one is only $45.
