Took a dive into GTA V yesterday. My last GTA experience was GTA IV but that just wouldn't stick with me, it couldn't hold a candle to the open world experience of San Andreas or VC.

But this... is so much awesome on so many levels again. Loving it. The countryside really adds so much to this game... took a cable car to top of mountain, ten minutes of awe-inspiring vista makes me a happy puppy

A piece of advice if you are VRAM limited (I am at 2GB) with GPU horsepower to spare: reduce Population Variety. Dropping that slider back to 10/20% gives you an easy 300-400 MB VRAM to play with, allowing High textures and better shadows on a 2GB card - still runs a solid 60 fps too on my GTX 770. So far I haven't really noticed the difference in Pop. Variety: still got lots of variety going, with fat, skinny, male and female and all sorts of different clothing. So its a very good way to up the fidelity in the game with a small sacrifice.

Arrrgh, this game is already getting annoying in some ways. I know a lot of people like Trevor, but his constant ego centric redneck attitude gets obnoxious. Someone needs to beat the living crap out of him to shut his arse up. Then I find just to go through parachute training for the other two, I have to pass a pretty hard heli training course, which makes no sense. They should put the harder sessions at the end. Some I've read are even having trouble with the plane courses. I passed those easily. I can get through the heli course, but it either says the heli is too damaged when I land, or I run out of time.

I also don't like the park and save feature for cars. It's too confusing and unpredictable. In GTA IV I knew exactly where to park and how many vehicles I could save. Some vehicles will appear in the driveway or on the curb, yet when you park them there, they will not necessarily save. I parked a buggy behind the Burgershot Stallion in Trevor's garage, only to find it only saved the Buggy. I drove all the way to Los Santos just to buy a garage, which then lets me select the Buggy or Stallion, but garages you purchase are not linked to your safehouse garages. It would be nice if there were a valet service like in GTA V where you could select any vehicle in your garage to be delivered. Sleeping Dogs had this too.

And the worst is, I'm getting random crashes here and there out of the blue, like many are. What started out as a relatively pleasant experience has degraded into a situation where I worry starting up another session will put me through more stress than it's worth.

LOL, if there's a character like Mike anywhere in the game to keep Trevor's attitude in check, it will give me more incentive to trudge through it's annoying parts. After the first mission with Trev and Michael, it's looking like Michael ain't that guy. Jonathan Banks is awesome.

I have to watch that series. Loved Breaking Bad, but have yet to check this one out.

Played GTA for over 30 Hours now. Mostly online. It never crashed Once. - it had a weird bug though. When driving down into your garage on first heist it just stops (got the one in the 200.000$ Building. One Player sees a fade to white screen, the other Player the score table. Maybe its just an issue with that particular building. You can still bring up the menu, quit the game and continue where you left off. We had that behavior every time we played the first heist.

Rockstar Social Club hasn't been hacked, but change your passwords anyway

"The good news is that the Rockstar Social Club, the hub for Grand Theft Auto 5's multiplayer mayhem, has not been hacked. The bad news is that another unnamed site apparently has, and you should probably change your password as a result.

Word of trouble originated on Reddit, where a number of posters reported that their accounts had been taken over by unauthorized users. Numerous complaints were also logged with the Rockstar Support Twitter account, and the whole thing had a whiff of a "larger hack going on," as the original poster put it. We also received a tip from a reader who claimed his account had been compromised, despite being only a month old and using a password unique to his Social Club account.

However, in a statement sent to Kotaku Australia, Rockstar said the Social Club has not been compromised, but did acknowledge that "attempts have been made to access user accounts using email and password combinations from an unaffiliated, compromised website or database elsewhere on the internet." It's now in the process of reverting lost accounts to their original owners, and recommended that users do not share email and password combinations across multiple sites.

It's a wise policy—and even though the site hasn't been hacked, I changed my password anyway. Probably wouldn't hurt for you to do the same. If you're experiencing issues, Rockstar's technical support number in North America is 866-922-8694."

Holding a heli still is damn hard They have a natural tendency to drift and yaw and once you rocked it too much, stabilizing it is a real issue. Well the console controller's stick travel is bit guilty there. Too sensitive. I haven' flown a heli on PC yet; I did find them relatively hard to control on console but you get used to it. Flying with as little aileron input as possible also helps.

I'm not saying it's easy (as I have never flown one). But I don't mean it was hard on console, I meant it was impossible. They built the sway into the game, it wasnt counter able, it was just constant no matter the speed. Instantly when I took a chopper up on the PC and let off everything and it floated relatively flat, I knew something was different.

Trevor is a good character and a great excuse to do dumb shit in GTA that was missing in the previous game.

I have random crashes from story mission 1-2 times a day. Not bug related, just random.

Restart the game and replay the mission exactly the same way with no problems. It's like the game is trying to piss me of.

I played a single 24+ hour session yesterday without a single crash. I even alt+tabed a couple times and was constantly using Steam overlay to access the web.

BANK-VAN: Thanks Mstrdrvr! On screen help says to ram into the reardoor, but I must find the way to do it at highspeed, no luck until now. They just race away when they notice me and alert cops.
Gotta try that sticky bomb plan, no idea of that (never played GTA before, I am playing like a blind duck)

HELI ETC training, I have not gotten the oportunity , maybe need to level up.

They'll never drive away when you blow the doors by a drive by sticky bomb. I ran across it by accident as I was trying to get my gun while driving and ended up with the c4 in my hand. It was after some mission that gives them to you and I did not realize I still had them.
