I understand the passion but it tickles my ribs reading about achieving graphical improvements of vegetation. I have little time to stare at grass while odd groups of men in nappies attack me with uncharacteristic accuracy and aplomb.

32 hours and I'm only level 15. 32 hours not spent staring at bushes and enjoying myself. I really dig the weather patterns, it's pretty awesome going through a forest at sunset with the wind blowing the trees, hearing the wind howl and seeing the burnt orange light filter through the swaying treetops.

I too am too busy enjoying the immersion and roleplaying to notice if the vegetation graphics are not the best ever seen. What I do see is background the seamlesly supports my fun, giving me the impression that it all is fabulous.

Shrubs are made out of green blobs.
They look great as far as a collection of green blobs go.
Good thing game is endlessly immersive for even me not to care.
This is me not caring ... about green blobs. Damn you Speed Tree.

Honestly the vegetation is not that bad. In fact if you lower Vegetation distance you can tweak Vegetation thickness. Which makes for much thicker foliage and makes the green blob thing far less noticeable on its own do to how lush the world space is. Its what I ended up doing in order to improve visuals with minimal impact.

the story is really short if you make all the wrong calls and chose to kill everybody you can

Lol! Ok, cool! I tend to savor every inch and encounter, so I feel comfortable it will last me awhile.

ill tell you right now the main-quest chain its self is not 25h
the main-quest-chain+the relevant sub-plot related quests might be that tho but if you don't care about getting the good end that its only about 12H
if you want to aim for the good end the google it and there is a guide that tells you the "correct" choices

make sure u loot the monster nest after u destroy them. it wont show on the map as loot but they have ingredients you will need for certain weps and armors . no wonder i was missing some and count find em lol

Oh wow! That sucks!!! Perhaps uninstall and reinstall from scratch? Your saved games should still be fine since they are in a different place.

Welp, they fixed the vegetation (as much as it's possible without changing the engine) in the new 1.04 patch ... for me, it means no need for custom driver profile tweaks anymore

That does look good.

I wonder how long before game engines or hardware learns to clip textures presented on edge? Should be easy to implement, if a texture is drawn at less than or greater than X angle.

I've had this a few times since first day, as well as Geralt starting to jump non stop without me even touching the gamepad. Both problems dont stop even if I reload last save game. I have to totally exit the game and restart it to solve the problem!

Not quite but similar bug where after aiming and firing he rapid fires once more, sometimes twice, but game always allows me to aim

Geralt starting to jump non stop without me even touching the gamepad.

That one happened to me twice, next time I'll let him hop from a cliff

In respect of above quotes, game does have a few gameplay bugs. I had the jumping one. Still getting annoying weapon sheathing in combat. What I can't get over his how hard it is against monsters.
I'm only level 7 mind and things at level 12 just rip me to pieces and my damage on them is insignificant. Plus, I can't wield my crafted weapons or armour or till about level 16. WTF!
