Hi, hopefully someone here will be able to give some advice on my issue. I recently purchased an EVGA GTX 970 FTW and have been very happy with the performance in various games. Recently though i have been finding certain games have an issue, Dying Light being the first one i noticed

Have changed every setting ingame numerous times but with no fix, reverted from the newest drivers 352.86 back to the 350.12 ones and back again but no change. Removed and reseated card also. I have the same graphical problem in bioshock 2 and infinite, fifa 15 and thief and world of warcraft. In Thief and WoW, turning the SSAA off and the SSAO from ultra to high removed the issue from them games. My temps barely get over 60c when i do play something

My other specs are:

Gigabyte Z68X-UD3P-B3 Motherboard
Intel i5-2500k @ 4ghz
8gb 1600mhz ram
120gb SSD, 3tb sata hdd
Asus Xonar DG
Enermax Galaxy 1000w
Windows 7 64Bit

If any other info needed, please ask.

Thanks in advance :)

Possibly VRAM overheating? Have you another monitor you could try to eliminate it from the equation?

Have you tried the video card in a different pci-e slot to see if there is something wrong with the pci-e slot you are using on the motherboard? Have you looked at the card and checked to see if everything is properly connected still to the power supply? Have you checked while the pc is running to see if all fans are working properly on both the cpu and gpu? If not these are some things you need to look at. Oh and last but not least maybe there is an issue with the psu you have so get a multimeter and check it to see if it is running properly.

mhhh i thought the same ... or it was a feature that nvidia did hide ... (get it? green flickering... nvidia? )

although it's strange ... it does not look like artifact like in a case of too high mem clock/volt/temp
it look more like a ingame effect that wen't wrong due to a unknown circumstance ... just like a lens flare or something...

Indeed, good chance of that, maybe clean the cooler and make sure air flow is good and maybe add a fan were the ram chips are see if it is the issue. If a fan is added on top of the card cooling the pcb make sure it's blowing air at the card and give it a slow test spin to make sure it don't hit any thing on the card could all so add little rubber feet on the fan just to make sure it don't hit any thing.

True, but may as well try huh. Normally like triangles when that happens but better to make sure huh.

EDIT: more i look at it i have started to think that it's some thing to do with a reflection, some thing weird for sure. Like all the brightest spots seem to have that green mark.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I have tried the card in the other pci-e slot and also with a spare monitor and am getting the same results
