Check out TPU's BIOS database, it might just be there. If not, just RMA it.

Well.....that's a bit tough to do......I have had a NIGHTMARE situation with Dell and they want me to send in my whole system and let them diagnose it, I have latterly almost punch they guy through the phone lol.....they have been horrible and I refuse to deal with them anymore. I called NVIDIA and shockingly they tell me that they don't make that card, they only make the chipset? I asked Dell and Dell says they buy them from NIVIDA but NIVIDA says they just make the chipset for that card? That is horse shit......the card is only 6 months old and I am almost certain Dell doesn't have a plant that makes NIVIDA Cards..........as usual no one wants to take accountability.

So your Titan Z came as part of a complete Dell gaming system, is that right? In that case, it doesn't surprise me that they want to deal with the whole PC as one unit, however inconvenient that may be for you, because the warranty applies to the whole unit, not just a component of it. Call them again and just RMA it, or maybe do it online in if you can.

Make absolutely sure that you back up your data before sending the PC in and then erase it from the PC so that nosy people at Dell don't end up going through it. Make at least TWO copies of that data or you could easily lose all of it. Three copies if possible is better.

NVIDIA are right that they only supply the GPU and that it's the board partner who makes it, so the warranty is with them. In this case the "partner" is Dell from your perspective although someone else physically made the card, so your warranty is with Dell.

Looking at your specs, it's not quite clear regarding your graphics card. Do you actually have two Titan Z cards in there, or do you mean the two GPUs on the one card? I think you mean the latter. Note that the specs should normally specify just the model of card, regardless of whether it contains one or two GPUs in it.

Finally, I wonder why you were flashing the BIOS on that card in the first place? It's hugely expensive to risk bricking it, as yours is and there's almost never a good reason to do it.

EDIT: As @the54thvoid said below, bricking a card with a flash also voids its warranty so you shouldn't be looking for support from Dell anyway. It's just that the warranty will often be honoured since proving that it's the customer who broke it and that it's not just a corrupted BIOS is difficult for them. In other words, you'll probably get away with it, but it's dishonest to claim warranty under this circumstance.

I'm not being rude but that includes you. I had an original Titan way back and flashed that. I did it with great wariness because I knew, flashing a single BIOS chip card was (a)warranty breaking and (b)unnecessary.
You can't blame Nvidia or the partner. They have no obligation to help. I would persevere on your own trying to flash it back. You might need a 2nd Nvidia card to reflash or use a USB flash method, neither of which I've used. OCN are very good at helping but so too can some of our community. @Law-II (?) Is usually very helpful on TPU but not seen a post for awhile.
Good luck regardless and I imagine lesson learned.

Dell could refuse to fix it all together. So is it bricked or just not running to specs?

Well the good news is, I sat down tonight and spent some time reading and trying a few suggestions people have offered AND I was able to fix it.

I must have been half asleep when I posted this thread because i was not thinking clearly .... I simply loaded up GPUZ and then put in one of the working Titans Z cards , downloaded it's bios and then put the semi bricked one in, flashed it with NVFLASH ..... Waaa laaaa ! It's good as new .... I think haha .

Now to find 2 water blocks ! Why is it so hard to find these ? Grrr.

Oh and yes I actually have 4 Titan Z cards, I'll just say this .... DELL inc are idiots . They will be out of business in less than 5 years.

That's great that you fixed it, but why did you flash it in the first place?

I just had a case of not reading the whole thread, read first couple of posts, went to our Bios collection and found 2, a reference NVidia one and an EVGA one, you have to specify "unverified" to find them though, there are hundreds in there that will not show on the normal search........then of course I have come back to a problem solved

Great, had I known you had extra working titan z card (what are the odds?), that exact procedure would be my suggestion.
@Tatty_One good to know there is "Unverified" category
Read a little into that post and from what I read.........that bios bricked a card........

I can't recall where I read it but I think the PLX chip can cause issues with flashing. Somewhere (on OCN?) said it can bee seen as a VGA itself (the PLX chip) and if flashed can entirely brick the card.

That doesn't explain anything. Well, why did you want to? For no reason? What? No one flashes a card, especially one this expensive for no reason. You wanted help with this problem and TPU helped you out. The least you could do is explain your reasoning to us.

I explained to you how the whole computer is treated as one unit and that's why Dell want the whole thing back to fix the card. Sucks, but that's the way it is. You can't tell me that that Dell are gonna go bust because you didn't understand how the returns process works, lol. :shadedshu:

Did you look at the picture? In our Bios collection. As for flashing, don't you only flash the Bios you are set to? If so when you have done the first, shut down, flick the switch, restart..... flash.

I should point out though, the whole point in having 2 is if you mess one up you have a backup plan, never a good idea to flash both in my opinion.

Racial correction needed here.

To "Welch" on a bet is something to do with some bloke in England years ago and nothing to do with the Welsh.

Would you be willing to send me a copy of the titan z bios (one bios for each gpu)? I've bought a used Dell Titan Z in need of a bios flash and I've tried all the unverified bios (in every combination possible) here with no luck. It appears in Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, allows me to install drivers, but as soon as I restart Windows the two GK110s are under a Code 43 in Device Manager and GPU-Z states both gpus have a revision of FF and the BIOS Version, Pixel Fillrate, Memory Type, Texture Fillrate, Bus Width, and Bandwidth are Unknown.

I just had a case of not reading the whole thread, read first couple of posts, went to our Bios collection and found 2, a reference NVidia one and an EVGA one, you have to specify "unverified" to find them though, there are hundreds in there that will not show on the normal search........then of course I have come back to a problem solved

Thanks for the suggestion Dorstknob but I've already tried all bios uploaded here on Techpowerup (in every combination possible) as well as any other that could be found through an extensive Google and Bing search (including the Asus bios mentioned above). My problem is all uploads are unverified and most importantly none come as a pair. The Titan Z has two GK110s and each comes with its own separate, distinct bios (the two distinguished by the second GK110 having a number +1 numerically higher than the first GK110). I've contacted EVGA and they said they couldn't help since my Titan Z was a Dell OEM part. My only chance at this point is the community of Techpowerup to upload a pair of Titan Z bios, one for each GK110.

I know where you are coming from, in reference to "unverified" here in our downloads section, all that means is that it has not actually been looked at in detail and thereafter uploaded into the database, mostly because there is only one person checking GPU-Z Bios uploads and we probably get several hundred each month.
