The problem occurring when you apply pressure with your thumb is NOT a problem. That is normal.

But the bleeding issue when not pressing could simply be your brightness and contrast are WAY out of adjustment. Did you try adjust them?

Note that most monitors (and TVs) are adjusted at the factory with these setting set way off so they look nice and bright on the show room floor. A properly adjusted TV or monitor will typically look washed out in a brightly lit showroom - a big turn off for unsuspecting buyers.

So I recommend you check your user manual and see if you can adjust these settings before doing a RMA.

Yes, I know the thumb pressing is the problem but when pressed on leaked partbit shows more than any other place on bezel

Doesn't seem too bad to me.
Intentional bleeding when you press the edge isn't something I'd be concerned.
Backlight bleeding happens on almost every monitor. Some bad. Some hardly noticeable. Yours is somewhere between and I don't think it'd covered under warranty unless seller's website states otherwise.

You can certainly press for a refund though.

Well, brightness adjustment is what I tried doing with Fn plus brightness high and liw buttons

I guess in ips display and in glossy screen backlight bleeding wont happen.

I've had one laptop with pretty bad bleeding. It bothered the hell out of me at first but as I used it, I started not care. I got the laptop during a holiday clearance sale and it was final, so I couldn't return and replace it even if I wanted. The spec was very nice for the price I paid and I wasn't going to return for refund since I wouldn't be able to find a replacement.

You can press for refund with dissatisfaction as a a reason. Dell would accept that. I've had two Dell laptops before. Their customer service was nice to deal with.

Again, not abnormal. Part of the job of the bezel is to block the backlight from seeping past the edges. When you press, you are distorting that edge.

Sure it can - if not adjusted correctly.

It's
i7 6500u 6th gen
16GB RAM
2TB HDD
4GB Graphics
15.6" FHD Screen
Matte screen
DVD ROM
MAXX Audio

For Rs. 78590/- no other Laptop gives all these specs at this price. Moreover I am planning to Put SSD in DVD ROM later if I stick with this.

So my question is what is other laptop that I can look for to compete/match this one's spec ?

Well, there is one thing I forgot to update here that is,
When I had opened the box in shop in front of me and checking the laptop from all end , I saw a gap at the upper left hand side of laptop between Silver back plate and Black bezel, I showed that gap to seller guy, then he observed it just pressed it by his finger to fix it it was very shocking for me to see Laptop with such a quality control.
It was just like mobile back cover was fitted to mobile with one hook still to pressed to fit properly.
And then I saw this Backlight bleeding in night in dark.

Latitude, optiplex and precision may as well not be dell's they are completely different world's from the consumer lineup.

I checked there is only Dell 5559 gives that at less cost.

Acer Aspire R7 is also good though but not available here.
