This card small size and 4x PCIe tell me that we will see alot of these cards used as Physix cards.

More like budget systems sold to the unsuspecting, and people upgrading their older existing machines because the onboard video out options are prehistoric.
I think you would need to have a very weak primary graphics card to consider a GK208 card for PhysX.

Do one uses that old, useless tech from NVIDIA anymore unless they're running 400-series GPUs and are too ignorant to see that like, 20 games support it.

Yes, 4k on this thing. I wanna see that.

No one said "Superior 4K performance". They just say "4K support". Which you could basically get on S3 Savage3D. It would run like crap like on this card, but it is possible.

They probably try to assert that this is a graphic card for multimedia PC where you want to playback 4K video on it. I mean, it's passive = silence.

And for the upgraders a passive GT210 will be perfectly adequate - and it only costs half as much here - if all they are after is HDMI, and that is likely what they are after.

4K would be for HTPC movie support, etc since it's also fanless (quiet). Obviously not gaming.

Kinda late to the party. Looks exactly like a reference GT720.

Regarding performance: it is still not too bad. Tegra K1 devices can do a 4K playback, and they have the exact same GPU core.

What I don't understand is why? I'm pretty sure a price on it will be not much lower than the new revision of GT730.

Yeah, and they didnt even put HDMI 2.0 on it, so 30 Hz at UHD...

Useless card.

We need a 750 Ti replacement on Maxwell V2 with HDMI 2.0 and PCI-E powered only.

We need a 750 Ti replacement on Maxwell V2 with HDMI 2.0 and PCI-E powered only.

I believe NV deem the GTX950 the replacement for the 750Ti even though the latter is a lot cheaper, so I doubt we will see another low-mid end card based on GM2xx.

This GT710 is barely faster than the GK20A found in Tegra K1 SoC. Maybe this is just another move to dump the old stock before Pascal arrives.

If we ignore the three years old chip and talk about the card. I can say waaaawo this card is piece of work. In the time of three slot cards, tens of inches in length and beyond the height of expansion slots, three noisy fans and 375 w of power. This card is exactly as long as 4x PCIe and low profile slot , no fans, no power connectors, an as thick as less than single slot. This card will never ever ever ever break any records but it's fun to look at something so tiny from time to time.

A 90W "replacement" for a 60W card -- not exactly filling the original niche.

Shame it's a Kepler GPU. If it was Maxwell I'd have got it just for the novelty of it.

Since everyone is giving hard time to Palit regarding release of Gt710, please read this press release from nVidia. I am still wondering why didn't TPU cover this release and instead jump straight to product releases from partners.

I think it would be nice seeing some of these GT cards as a x4 or x8 option so it doesn't depend on x16 to work properly also could be nice with a lower GTX card like that so u can use ur PCI-E x16 slots for smth else while u can game too when IGP's ain't op for the tasks like physx delievery and more like AMD and Nvidia deliveres.
