NVIDIA released the latest version of its GeForce software. Version 362.00 WHQL comes game-ready for the hardware-intensive "Far Cry Primal," and "Gears of War Ultimate Edition." This includes performance optimizations, SLI profiles (if supported), and GeForce Experience optimal settings for the two games. The drivers are also optimized for the latest update of "Dying Light." Grab them from the links below.

No mention of enabling async compute either.

It's not required. Async won't be a relevant feature until DX12 games using it are in proliferation. Hell, DX11 is still the majority OS based API. With 12% of users on DX12, there is no rush. Just because the Ashes benchmark rears it's head again isn't a reason for Nvidia to focus resources on something it doesn't need now.

Most likely, considering it was released on Xbone first. Irony is, it was also released for stupid GFWL which died just like this Windows Store nonsense will.
Yeah, it's exclusive to Windows 10 Store; moreover, it runs like crap on AMD cards and don't expect G-Sync to work either.

Yeah on twitter @Windows posted about it and I replied back saying that the PC Gaming community is going to avoid the games like the plague and that they are doing it wrong.

Forza 6 is called Forza Motorsport 6 APP. So they are considered Windows metro apps. Which is why they dont have legitimate full screen and all that other stuff that actual games you can get from say Steam have.

We want WDDM 2.0 for Fermi in SLi DX12 APi support As promised.

Why are you still on fermi is my question.

Oh and Far Cry Primal is broken for most people. Won't even get to the main menu.

Just finished a few hours of Primal & it's (so far) working great for me. Fraps reckons i'm getting average 62FPS maxed @ 1080P with SMAA.

That being said I feel sorry for anybody getting issues withit the graphics are rad

WDDM is a CPU thing so nVidia has nothing to do with it. DX12.1 support they claim support all the way back to 420M but only back to 560ti for desktop. IF you still have a 400 series desktop GPU i think a new GPU of the 800 or 900 series will give a huge bump over whatever DX12 can do for you.
Yeah, it's exclusive to Windows 10 Store; moreover, it runs like crap on AMD cards and don't expect G-Sync to work either.
G-sync doesn't work with software code written by anyone but nVidia so G-Sync will work IF enabled and IF supported by their GPU and monitor. Also it is a XBOX ONE game according to Wikipedia so yes you can play it on a windows 10 PC but you will still need the XBOX ONE console somewhere on your network to play it. GameSpot also seems to only mention the XBOX ONE release so i am assuming it is only on the XBOX ONE so far anyways. The Xbox windows 10 app also sucks so syncing problems are because of that not nVidia. IF G-Sync had a problem it would happen across all games not just a select few.
The reason why games dont use it is nVidia cards are around 1/3 to 3/4 of the market depending to how you do the poll of GPUs. Now if nVidia does support the entire feature set of DX12_2 then why would game studios shoot themselves in the feet by using something that cripples alot of their expected consumers?
DX12_2 is also hardware not software so any software drive will not unlock the feature you want to be there.

PS Intel already has support for async compute and has for a while now but for the CPU side i am unsure about the GPU side.
IF nVidia can kill DX12_2 how much power does that mean nVidia has though?

Gears of War has been released on PC through the Microsoft App store. You do not need an xbox one to play it on PC. That is the dumbest thing ive heard.

In the last week I think Dying light has spammed me 5-6GB of updates.

So much fail here. Apparently you ignored the hyperlink in Ford's statement you quoted. Additionally, it has been published in numerous gaming publications and websites that Gears of War is not only an XBONE game, but will be Windows Store exclusive on PC. XBONE will not be required.

If you've been keeping up with the news, G-Sync won't work on the Windows Store games. In fact, nearly no setting we associate with PC gaming will work on their titles.

It'll be interesting to see if NVIDIA can fix Windows 10 Store G-Sync. I suspect not.

They probably wont even bother. I atleast hope not. I hope this Windows Store exclusiveness for these (What were) Xbox One exclusives burns to the ground.

If this is microsofts definition of doing better for PC Gaming. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: o_O

And I hope everyone boycotts that shit.

I meant that I don't think NVIDIA can even fix it if they wanted to. G-Sync is driver level material and Windows 10 Store apps apparently circumvent the driver. This is likely why there is no mention of FreeSync--it's 100% hardware based.

But you're right: boycott is needed.

Well Nvidia says it's working in-game, just not cutscenes so it's probably not long now before a hotfix comes out.

o_O G-Sync is not driver level. Nvidia created a proprietary field-programmable gate array LCD scaler, hence the higher cost with G-Sync. The module does most of the calculation so the GPU doesn't have to and it is put into each G-Sync monitor. This gives Nvidia very tight control over G-Sync implementation for each monitor that uses it. Where as the monitor manufacturer for FreeSync monitors control the implementation. This is why QC was bad on the first batch of FreeSync monitors and AMD had to step in with a QC process. FreeSync is most definitely not 100% hardware based... it is a firmware + driver solution. G-Sync is the hardware solution and even then its not 100% but Nvidia won't give details.

So all G-Sync monitors will have the same features and should behave the same way or very close to it. Where as the FreeSync alternative is dependent on how well the monitor manufacturer followed the QC process. Also all future FreeSync monitors will need to rely on AMD driver updates, especially for Low Framerate Compensation.

I do agree on the MS store needing to fail. Most gamers will avoid it and most won't give a damn when MS complains about it.

No one rocking an Nvidia GPU is trolling the AMD driver update thread. Yet the Nvidia driver thread has AMD trolls here, why?

In external adaptive sync, the extent of the driver work is deciding when to send the completed frames to the display--the role of LFC. The rest of the implementation is handled by DisplayPort 1.2a and the embedded DisplayPort chip in the display.

I think the problem is Asynchronous Time Warp doesn't work with G-Sync which Windows Store titles mandate. It's not clear yet if ATW is breaking external adaptive sync as well.

The only reason why I'm in this thread is because I'm waiting for NVIDIA to make their async shaders async (they should have been since Fermi).
