When so many enthusiast motherboards have LEDS on them in far greater number than ever before, I do want them back, although having the ability to turn them on or off might be nice too!

It shouldn't be a plus or minus because its subjective and the reviewers personal preference. Personal preference has nothing to do with the qualitative properties of the review item. That should be left up to the user. But, you guys have to figure out some way to justify the difference between an 8.8 and an 8.9 since there isn't a formal point system for deductions. Its subjective through and through.

Totally ,and it didn't reflect on points and was mentioned as being such in the conclusion as well.

Yet ultimately, those are personal drawbacks to this kit that won't apply to every situation.

I can't decide what's more lame, your attitude about it, or that you think it matters in anything other than benchmarks.

What I would have said if I wanted actualy results was "I saw that you have two other Crucial 2400 MHz kits in the review. Can they run 1T? Could you review them as well", and I might have said "Sure!", but now I might not, just to spite you.

Well, a number of years ago, 1T vs 2T made a significant difference. Maybe it's not so important today, I don't know if newer memory controllers are able to mitigate this. And even if it doesn't matter, it's still good to know if it makes sense to spend extra cash on 1T memory.

Well, a number of years ago, 1T vs 2T made a significant difference. Maybe it's not so important today, I don't know if newer memory controllers are able to mitigate this. And even if it doesn't matter, it's still good to know if it makes sense to spend extra cash on 1T memory.

There are pretty much no 1T sticks for DDR4, simply because it matters so little. Also, a number of years ago, memory was much slower, but today, is more than adequate for any usage. A big part of that is that CPU cache is large and fast, negating most of the negative impacts of any single memory timing. Do keep in mind that nearly every Intel CPU can run 3200 MHz, but Intel has spec'd them @ 2133 MHz, and that added 1000+ MHz doesn't change much of anything for daily usage. An added 30% of increased memory speed offers minimal gains, as already shown in the graphs in this review; there are kits from 2133 MHz to 3200 MHz shown. AIDA64 and Cinebench are really the only things that show any real difference. So if you wonder about 1T, simply look at that, and you have a very obvious answer as to if it matters or not.

Sure, that's the game when it comes to benchmarking. But when we are benchmarking, we're pushing 1.65V+ instead of 1.2-1.35V, and CAS 12 @ 3000+, when there are like no 2133 MHz CAS12 sticks, because that's what it takes to have memory make a difference. You gotta risk destroying both the memory and the memory controller to have any gains.

may not be the fastest on test, but for really normal users, 2.4GHz DDR4 is more than enough for everyday use.
